It takes strength, passion and a lot of guts to sing a Biblically inspired song in front of so many lost souls. Amazing band. Wish they released more albums like these after My Own Prison, Human Clay and Weathered.

I am a nearly 40 year old man, I’m a fully disabled combat veteran and equally as important to me and something I’m equally as proud of is that I’m also AN ATHEIST!! Every time I see a comment like this or ones similar I can’t help but shake my head in disbelief and awe!! We live in a country (unfortunately) here in America where over 85% of the population believes in an invisible man in the sky, weather it’s Allah, jesus christ, “god” or whatever other version people CHOOSE FROM!! Yet when you look at ANYTHING online you’ll find people who WANT TO PRETEND THAT THEISTS, and SPECIFICALLY so called “christians” ARE VICTIMS and that THEY’RE THE MISTREATED MINORITY!!! Which frankly sickens me because IT COULDN’T BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH!!! The FACT remains the single most mistreated, misrepresented and MISUNDERSTOOD group is that of those who identify as Agnostics or Atheists! The difference is, because we are SO OUTNUMBERED and ARE SUCH A MINORITY, there is LITERALLY NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT. We live in a country where men who believe in an invisible man in the sky are allowed to make laws and rules that the rest of us must follow and they do so BASED ON THEIR BELIEFS IN AN INVISIBLE MAN IN THE SKY!! Oh and before anyone says anything, I LOVE CREEDS MUSIC, I love Alter Bridge even more because they’re musically better and because Myles Kennedy aside from being a superior musician to scott Stapp he is also a superior HUMAN BEING (and NO not just because he’s an Atheist). I LOVE MARK TREMONTI and he’s been my FAVORITE GUITARIST for OVER 25 YEARS!! Oh, I am ALSO NOT A COMMUNIST aka a LEFTIST AKA FORMERLY KNOWN AS A DEMOCRAT EITHER LIKE MANY ATHEISTS ARE UNFORTUNATELY ARE!! I LOVE MY COUNTRY AND THEREFORE I ALSO LOVE PRESIDENT TRUMP!!!

As a teen in 2000 and 2001, I remember laying down in my parents room, popping my Human Clay cd into my dad's stereo, and just listening to this entire album. This track was, and still is, my favorite and the song that speaks to me the most. Even to this day, 23-ish years later, I'm still resolved to stand against the faceless man, even if it means standing alone with the Warrior whose yoke is easy and burden is light.

I hope to God you are still alive and kicking and loving Creed even though they aren't together anymore. I lost my fiance back in 2000 due to him riding a bike drunk. Crashed head first into a curb. He was the one that turned me into a fan of Creed. We played With Arms Wide Open at his funeral. We had twin boys shortly before his death. Alot of people thought my song choice was inappropriate...I think not. He and I created life and we together would raise our boys the same way...unfortunately he died and so to me the song took on another view...I would raise them alone but always with arms wide open. Whenever I hear it on the radio I know deep down inside that he is watching over our sons and I. It's been 23 freaking years and I'll never stop listening to Creed!

Amazing band,great songwriting.
Creed at their prime.
'The Faceless Man' woke me up from a coma that lasted 4 weeks. My mom called both of my brothers and told them to hurry down to California if they wanted to say 'Goodbye' to me beFORE I die. "Your brother had a brain aneurism, and he's in a coma right now!" my mom told them. "He's at Torrance Memorial Hospital' right now where the neurosurgeon said her mentor, Dr. Vespa, of UCLA, could save his life, performing a NEW procedure, but you have to hurry!" Another neurosurgeon somehow found OUT about this plan, calls my wife up, and tells her, "I've been practicing medicine for 25 years, so I know what works and what does NOT work, and that procedure by Dr. Vespa will NEVER work!" My poor wife responded, "I'm CERTAIN you know more about this than I do, but we don't seem to have much of a choice!" Well, the procedure DID work, because the man making this entry right NOW was the man in that coma, but for the rest of my life, I'm going to be quoted for what I said when the medical staff at UCLA saw me open my eyes and look at the weeping woman at my bedside, my wife of 17 years. When they asked me if I knew who she was, I responded, "I'm not sure who she is, but I think I like her a lot." (Of course, I had to be TOLD that I said this, because I don't recall ever SAYING that!) To hear this modern-day miracle story, search KZread for "Charles Frank Kurtz", then spread word that miracles happen to this very DAY! My being alive to even SAY, "Miracles HAPPEN!" is miraculous!!! (FYI: I now remember who my wife IS, just FYI!😆😅🤣😂)
I get chills when I listen to this song. It Sounds amazing live..

I'm not sure how many people are unaware of this, but it wasn't just addiction that Scott was dealing with early on in his career. It was also being on the wrong medication due to a misdiagnosis. His current wife threatened to leave him if he didn't get the help he needed, so Scott sought a new doctor who diagnosed him as bipolar. He got on the correct medication, and his life took an enormous 180. It also helps that he walked away from alcohol, too. I saw him in concert with his solo band in 2019, and the energy was off the charts. Sorry for such a long response, I just wanted to indulge you on the deeper side of Scott Stapp getting clean. 😎
