The Amazon Prime Visa I've had excellent credit for years. I was 750+ ten years ago when I qualified for my mortgage. I've been in the 800 club for at least the last 4 years. But for some reason, Chase wouldn't approve me for the Amazon Prime Visa. Over the last few years I've applied and been rejected three times with no clear indication as to why. Well, 4th time's the charm, I guess, because I finally got approved! 🎉🍾🎉 5% cash back on all Amazon purchases! Woohoo! Sorry, I'm done. Just wanted to share the exciting news.

This system is abhorrent, but I'm finding it necessary to be part of if I'd even like to get a newer car or buy a house, so thank you for teaching me about it.

Great. My mom put me on one of her accounts so she could give me a credit card and have me run errands for her. But she stalls paying off her credit cards because it stresses her out. I had no idea her adding me to the account could impact my credit. Not that she asked first.

Talk to a CFA. Many banks give you a certain number of appointments with one for free, and they'll be in a much better position to answer this than some randos in the youtube comments

If I have a credit card and never use it, does this contribute to my total number of payments/payment history?

No. If you're not using your credit card then you dont have a payment. If you dont make a payment there is no payment history.

The information in this video is misleading. I was on the phone with one of their reps, and I was advised that it only builds the credit of your spouse, not your child or other added users.

25 point disparity in my credit score Navy Federal and Discover both offer free credit scores based on reporting from TransUnion, however, NFCU is reporting my credit score 25 points lower than Discover. Anyone have any info on why this is? They were both updated within the last week.
