Creature Comforts: How to Play
Life in the forest is a lot of fun, at least while the sun is shining and the leaves are on the trees. Those days don’t last forever though, and long before the weather starts to change, the wise animals start to harvest for the long cold winter ahead. You will spend many months tucked into your burrow and you want to make it as cozy as possible. A nice bowl of soup, a comfortable rocking chair, and some toys and games will go a long way to make those dark winter days pass by quickly.
In Creature Comforts, you spend the Spring, Summer, and Fall gathering different goods from the forest and spending them to collect items that will make your home more inviting while the world outside is covered in a layer of snow. Each round you send family members out to various locations in an attempt to gain supplies. If they fall short of their goal, they’ll learn a lesson and be better prepared next time. The family that has created the most comfortable den wins the game.

Great video! Only thing I saw that looked incorrect is the placement of a worker on the new locations when built. You just have to place an unused family die, rather than a worker AND die, to claim the location benefits and activate the effect.

Great video. The game looks super fun. Personally, I would've liked to see them incorporate Meeples that are more thematic, something à la Root or New York Zoo. It's a minor stylistic thing but c'mon, who doesn't love original cutesy looking animal themed Meeples. 😉

The Kickstarter edition DOES have little animal meeples! They're super cute and each color is a different animal. All of the resources are wooden pieces too. See if you can pickup one of the Kickstarter editions when it delivers.

one of the stretch goals of the campaign was to upgrade the meeples to be animal shapes. this was an early prototype
I just pre-ordered the KS edition. I'm soo excited for this to come out.

I adopted a teenager, became a grandmother and my youngest child started middle school. Unfortunately I don't have the time to make content anymore but I'll be keeping the existing content up as a resource for new board gamers.

Update: I won't be making any new videos any time soon. After adopting a teenager, becoming a grandmother and my youngest child entering middle school I've run out of free time to make content but maybe when my youngest graduates high school I'll have more free time. 😅
