Creative still life art photography
How to create mood and atmosphere in still life photography with careful lighting. Using visualisation to design, compose, and execute a photographic idea. Adding an abstract element to photographic visual art.
In this video I take you step by step through the process of lighting a creative still life photographic study.
I will demonstrate how to position the light and how that position effects the final image.
Everything is covered from the studio lighting, through the tethered capture in Capture one software, to the final image in Adobe Photoshop.
I'll use a Canon DSLR, tethered into Capture one software to show you how to capture your subject from basic image to completed photograph.

Thank you for your work. I really enjoy and learn from your channel. Just one question, why do you use Capture One for your tether and Photoshop for processing?
@CameraClubLive

Capture one is very reliable, just works. Photoshop is so widely used it helps connect to many photographers around the world.
Thank you!

Why not use a black cloth to cover your camera and hand to remove/reduce reflections?

Yes you could do that If it became a problem.
Tks for sharing! Could you specify the dimensions of aperture mask? Many tks

The card is 57x38cm with a 18x12cm aperture. You can make it almost any size as long as the aperture dimensions match the ratio of the sensor in the camera.
