I've done something, I may say, quite similar coincidentally with 3 apples, but a torchlight blinking & the result was fascinating. Thank you for your tutorials!

Thanks for sharing!
To me this episode is more than excellent. You did this torch polythene bag lighting earlier in an episode in your kitchen with frost bitten tomatoes. Additionally I learned one use of linear dodge (add) blending mode. Thanks and regards. Have a nice time.

Thank you for the very interesting tutorial. Can you tell me which brand of torch you are using?

It was just a generic LED torch. literally anything will do for this. Thanks for watching.
Great video..I wondered why your lighting scenario (bag/torch) required movement? Could this look be achieved with a continuous light, perhaps with grid/reflector sand/or a snoot? Shutter speeds will vary to control light or would you accomplish in camera with other adjustments? Video was very helpful to understand the (possible) simplicity of lighting still life photography. Thanks!

By moving the bag the apparent size of the light is increased resulting in a softer light. The torch is continuous light.
almost like a lantern softbox, or would the lantern spread too much light?

That's right, but don't forget limited power from the torch will be spread out further.
Toll...
A torch led probably does not have the best colour spectrum qualities; would that not be an issue with some subjects?

Yes, as I say in the video, use this method only on subjects that do not require high colour fidelity.
Wouldn’t a paper bag have make the light softer.

A paper bag may have made the light softer, but it would’ve also taken possibly a couple of stops of the energy. thanks for watching.
Love your videos but that light thingy is called a “flashlight.” 🙂🤓😉
