Creating Your Own Collage Papers

Follow along as I show you how I create my own collage papers. I use 3 simple techniques to keep my stash full and I will show you each one step by step. Collage papers don't have to be complicated to be useful, you just need to know what style and colors you like so that you create papers you will actually use.

Yes I make my own collage papers. I like to reuse/recycle junk mail, book pages, tissue paper. Whatever I can find.

Fun! I’ve had a hard time finding deli paper that isn’t too waxy and difficult to add mediums to. What kind do you use? Any suggestions? Thank you.

Your paint layers are always so thin. I am finding the sheet I am trying to print to is sticking to the bottom of the gelli plate and tearing off. I’ve tried more and less paint, and it continues to do so. Please any suggestions? Thank you! Love your colors!

Hi Alison, what paper are you using? Also, how long are you leaving it on the plate to dry? That could be a factor as well for the paper to be sticking.

Hi! I actually use the same clam shell that it came in, I find that the easiest way to store them. I bought one that came in a ziploc type bag but it had sheets of plastic on either side so I just store that one in the bag with the plastic sheets on. Does that make sense?
