The prosthetics with the vfx are just awesome
Bloater intro scene was insane!
When they do pt 2, they have to include the Rat King
The fact that they used prosthetics is something I happily applaud! Too many times it's CGI only for creatures. But a perfect mix from CGI and practical FX/prosthetics brings an authentic feel that can't be replicated with just CGI.
Hope to get more Infected In Season 2 because the scenes with them are some of the best stuff of the show.
You can really tell how devoted the crew was to this vision and bringing to game to life. very inspiring!!
The bloater emerging from the hole was one of the parts I was really excited about from watching the trailer. Did not disappoint.
Now, Druckman may be amazing, but let’s not discount the colossal rise of Craig Mazin! He went from writing Scary Movie 3, 4 (funny movies I still think) to creating the breathtaking Chernobyl, and co-creating an adaptation no one thought possible. Now that is also genius!!
i got, literally, goosebumps when i saw that bloater. i loved it! - can't wait to see a shambler and the rat king; if we get the chance ;)

The first scene with the clickers in the museum looked so much like the game, it blew me away. I loved how the actors got all the little twitches and motions just right. There was a lot of love put into their performances and it showed.

Barry Gower is the person who has done so much good Prosthetic work. All the great tv shows we love he has probably worked on them. Game of thrones to now. Excellent job he does. I never played the games and usually I wait till a season is over so I can binge it. But the last of us I tuned in every week so so good. Cant wait for S2
The first scene with the clicker in the museum gives me chills every single time I watch it, because of how perfectly they recreated the essence of the game. The way you feel watching that scene is exactly how you feel when you're playing it. The silence, the sneaking around, Joel reloading with the clicker around the corner (this shot specifically was so spot on) and the way the infected move, the sounds, even the way Ellie is hiding. Neil Druckmann was so real for saying he gets emotional watching it because there's something so beautiful and moving about how it does the game justice and then some.

Everyone involved in this project are truly talented it's crazy how good the actors are for the infected!
Cannot wait for the rat king in season 2.
