The first 1,000 people to use this link will get a 1 month free trial of Skillshare: skl.sh/academyofedits10211 Note: there are a lot of dark scenes in this video and youtube compression has really decided to be a hater, if you select 4K quality for the video the compression will be a bit better so I recommend that!

Oh that was beautiful! I know you said no jump scares but I had goosebumps throughout. That initial scene I think your explanation made it even more frightening somehow haha.

This channel could really evolve beyond tutorial videos (which are great themselves, no doubt) into videos based on topics such as these. You really put everything in this video together nicely, and a lot could be learned from this. As Palpatine once put it, "We will watch your career with great interest."

extremely helpful and high value. I'm a writer but still I learned a lot. sending this to all my filmmaking friends so keep it up. a suggestion: if you could mention all the movies used in the video in the description, that would be great, for us to watch those films, and come back to this video with a deeper understanding.

There is an alternative way to do the increasing anxiety that i like where you have a constant sense of anxiety paired with a incredibly low audio after the people are used to it you cut the audio allowing them to feel the weight they were under without realizing it. This form is harder to get to working but it works well for DnD.

Jesus christ I know shit like this is said in the comment section of so many beginning youtube channels BUT DAMN ! You DO deserve more views for that work. The sheer volume of analysis, the seamless flow of it, the perfectly appropriate visuals. Not to mention your voice and tone which are premium video essay ear juice. Im sharing this and really hope you get a larger audience because this content will interest people. Also, even though I don't fuck with AE or Blender, I still love watching your tutorials because of the wealth of info and soothing flow of it. They are short and sweet to the point which is something I'd love to say about all the other tutorials out there. Kudos and hang in there

The building suspension part is very true when I was small at a camp with my school we would always have something called the walk of fear it would always occur only once per camp and it went like this: We would have to go alongside a path in the woods when it was completely dark outside and there was only a few occasional candles left by the side of the path so you wouldn’t get lost in the woods and there was a point in which a couple of teachers with scary costumes would scare you and then you went back. So here comes my story I went on this so called “walk of fear” and I was the last one of all the kids going there and it was pitch black outside and it was raining so when I was on my way on the path, the rain extinguished one of the candles right in front of me and that made me kind of scared cuz if it happened to all of them I could’ve gotten lost there. So I was walking and walking and no one was there I walked an entire kilometer so the building of tension just kept becoming larger and larger when suddenly a man shouted at me and flashed me in the eyes with a flashlight and told me what am I doing on his property which I replied to that I don’t know I think I got lost while crying my butt off so then he luckily new the camp where I was and he helped me find a way back there. After that when I was safe and at the camp the teachers told me that they’ve already returned like an hour ago that they canceled it and they didn’t even know why I still went even thought one of them sent me there all by myself so my 10yo me scared out of my mind survived that rough night in the end.

Not all the time though lol You're very subjective in the horror genre Theirs a level of psychopathy, therapy (like what they did in "us") NEUROLOGY, psychology, philosophies, ECT and so on You have to tap into the human emotion This goes for you hypothesis/psychology/philosophy on the first scenario you spoke about
