I have a chronic illness, and I have to say that your solo videos cause me to ignore/calm some of the effects of this illness... I used to write novels when I was a kid, now I am back on that train by playing solo- and helps me cope with mental health issues!

An excellent video. I love you uploads about story and narrative; it’s good to take your mind off the nuts and bolts of how a game works and focus on what it is working towards. I see that the book you were using is very reminiscent of but with a strong D&D slant. I hope that your fighter finds answers on his quest.

Another really good video. Thanks for sharing your story as it develops. Watching today is a holiday treat! If I may share an idea I have, I like to suggest a player roll 4d6, drop the lowest, just for the stat associated with the character class they are trying to make (in this case Stength for the Fighter). Other attributes are rolled 3d6 in order. It feels less "super powered" to me, yet increases the chances of getting what you want.

Basically a Mythic ripoff, and so confusing too: on the destiny check it states total ≥ 11 is Yes (which means GREATER than or EQUAL to 11) but then states 11 = Weak Yes. So which is it when you roll 11??? And the same if you roll a 10 (˂11 = LESS then 11, so 10 or under = No, but the chart also states 10 = Weak No)??? Would have been so much clearer if they did this: 12+ = Yes, 11 = Weak Yes, 10 = Weak No, 9≤ = No. I'll stick with Mythic, thank you. Or even better, the Mythic Game Master Emulator Deck or The GameMaster's Apprentice cards (which I use as a Game Master and writer). Otherwise, the advice here is wonderful as usual.

I wish there was a good way to play classic written adventures solo without just re-writing them all into a new format. Stuff like the WFRP Enemies Within campaign, or any of the early AD&D dungeons. I have found some success in solo playing many of the West End Star Wars modules.

Yes, I agree but after all those weren't written for the solo format so it is to be expected that it would take 'work' to make them 'work.' I am not familiar with the West End Star Wars modules but that's good to know.

I'm not sure I fully get the Chaos Level and Destiny Chart (minutes 12 to 16 or thereabouts). At a Chaos Level of 1 (everything calm, predictable, normal) I ask a question which is "for sure" going to have the answer "Yes" and I roll a d4 and add +0. If the total is

Thank you both for helpful responses. Four days ago I didn't know that Solo RPG was even a possibility. (Other than choose-your-own adventure books.)
