This type of DIY requires steep technical knowledge and skills. It is always good to see another Tobi being very creative and resourceful 😅

Hey mike thanks for interviewing a DIY guy. It’s very daunting to take on a build like this, this guy breaks it down well and shows us that it’s not impossible for regular Joe to have a successful build out. The key is not be be afraid to ask lots of questions. Every mistake that can be made has already been made so use that knowledge to save yourself a lot of time, money and tears. Please test the Boost long run fin when you can. I got an email offering them to me,since I bought a regular boost. They are gonna be $600-$800 so it would be good to get your take on the fin before dropping that kind of money . Thanks for all the great videos man 🙏🏻🤙🏼🤙🏼

Put it on a bike frame and you've got a great invention :) starting would be a pain though

With prop ran by pedals 😁 or even pedal assist system 🤯😁 it would be up there. I guess you could use a 20" frame with shortest pedal arms available 😉 i bet somebody markets this. Happens all the time. 🤯

Hey Kian, Mike has added the parts list so maybe you can check if you find the right prices. I have to say though, that I purchased all of the equipment over a year ago.

@@tosh.jah22 Hi Tobi, great project!!! We are a group of about 20 Pump Foilers from the Cologne area. We foil on the Rhine and we are looking for a way to power our foil boards electrically. Two of us already have foil drives, but due to the costs, not everyone in the group has the possibility to be pushed electrically on the Rhine waves. I built my first electric skateboard some time ago, but have not had any contact with the water version. I would like to build your setup for our foil group and wanted to ask you if you could possibly help us with your know-how?

Hey Martin, it's very much depends on how many times you fall. Because most of the battery is consumed during starting. I would say it's just starting once and foiling it might be possible to go more than 30 minutes...

Great, compared to the expensive brands... isn't there a proven kit in the market for DIY assembly? With a manual how to connect everything? Thanks, Gerrit
