I shoot black and white acros 100 at 100 or pushed to 400 iso in my film f100, f5, f6, fm2n and fe. It ALWAYS looks like film. The grain is gorgeous, the tonality amazing. In my medium format 645 or 67, it is gorgeous.

Very nicely done. I tried the X-T30 Acros film simulation with a red filter and a CPL for landscapes this past weekend. Dramatic effect to the sky and puffy cumulus clouds. It was a lot like my film shooting days. A nice feature of digital photography is not having to drag around all those Red, Green and Yellow filters used in the past with B&W film. Just need a good CPL for certain applications and let the camera filter the respective colors for you.

A color photo capture has more data to work with when converting it to black and white in postproduction, important when doing photography for paying clients.

Hello Omar, I recently got my first digital camera (Fuji X-T2) after shooting film for years (not a pro, just for fun), it was about time I came into the 21st century (LOL). My question is about setting the camera manually, focusing at night (like a 20 second exposure) and actually being able to see thru the viewfinder. With my Nikon FM-2 (film camera) i would set the ISO to 100, lens at f/11, focus (split image) and shoot in bulb for 30 seconds and I would get a nice picture of downtown Paterson. Can you please tell me what am I doing wrong, or better yet, how to do it right? Thank you. Enrique. BTW, I just found your channel and subscribed.

Enrique Thanks for subscribing! You can simulate exposure before pressing the shutter. In screen options, make sure Exp/WB is ON under the screen menu. Now you can close your shutter to f11 and set various times on the shutter dial.

I like BW Red filter max H/S tone kelvin 3300 to add more blue into the image for darker contrast by day. I only shoot jpeg, because I like the commitment. (Ladies) But I actually do. It feels more like film getting it exactly right in camera.

Great details and I feel overwhelmed with what a camera can do now out of the box. I shot with Canon D30 and did most of my edits in photoshop. I'm sure you would get comfortable with the settings as you shoot often. I need to get my XT-20 - any sugar mamas out there?!
