Thanks for this video! I was looking for a way to leave an opening on a sewing machine cover for the handle. I did not want to line the cover, this solves the problem!

For a #3 zipper I do 1/4” for a #5 I do 3/8”,,, I’m sewing on a juki98tlp

i would do the overlay and pocket first then add the foam stabiliser afterwards,,,,either cutting a hole in the foam to accommodate the pocket lining or leaving the pocket linings between the exterior and the foam....depending on what bag I'm making

@@BagsbyBagsofStyle You helped me fix a persistent problem in my bags with this method! I was consistently ending up with a wavy zipper on the external zipper pocket. Not wavy side to side like it slipped out of place, but wavy the other way, up and down. It was very strange. (I was using the method from the Lola bag from Swoon.) Phew! I’m finally looking at a nice tight zipper, SO relieved. 😅 Thanks a bunch! 🌸

What size thread did you use for your work

I’m in the uk, I use a standard all purpose polyester sewing thread. If I want a more defined stitch I double the threads through my machine
