Agave blue flame and agave attenuatta prefer shade

They do prefer shade. I’ve found in my climate they do well in full sun with ample water

@RedsGardeningCo my bad. I grow them here in South Texas. They love shade here ! Blue glow too.

@@juanramos.jr.7948 No worries! Some times I think the heat can also be a factor when it comes to light exposure. I have a client who has some near astro turf and they struggle since the turf gets about 25 degrees hotter then the air
