I agree! I think a lot of folks (myself included) have favorites +/- 'not so favorites' when it comes to KZread self help/therapeutic videos & the delivery of information, creators demeanor, narration style & even their voice. I'm a fan of not only her content but she's a soothing influencer if you will & " I feel like I can trust her" if that makes sense. ❤

Hi Doc Snipes ☺️ I started a new job this week and I'm struggling with accepting that I'm not going to be perfect at it straight away. I hate feeling stupid or looking incompetent in front of my colleagues. What advice do you have for managing these emotions and how do I become more patient with the process? Thanks, Zara x

lol not doc snipes but saw this and have dealt with it so maybe I could provide some help. Perfection is impossible to achieve,. And if you consider it, it's a liberating idea: You can't be perfect, so it's not as though there's some right, perfect way to do the job. You're allowed to make mistakes, and learn from them. And since you can't truly be perfect, you can never stop improving yourself. There's no limit.

Hi Dr. Where can we find you for counseling or coaching, bc I am feeling stuck lacking certain skills for beginning a career w purpose? Being a housewife w a previous narc over 20 years has had me lost in technology w absolutely no skills which feels disheartening. For over 3 years narc free, and thru a quarantine the last 2, community resources in education are nill. I basically have skills for a cashier where 30 years ago I was a functional manager of high level projects that I have no current levels to keep up. The devastation from surviving 3 near death experiences placed me on disability w little extra for enrollment in college at age 56. No friends. No family. Again quarantine... So lets be real here. Tell me what people my age should do on limited income bc we are basically disposable to society whether it comes to work to dating to making friends to having skills for a purposeful career.

is never, really, never too late to start over again, i know society can label us because of our age, looks, etc but don’t let that distract you for the fact that any improvement is a big step. Look for the resources around you and start working in your goal, develop discipline and healthy habits and focus every day only on that You got this! don’t let that number “age” stop you, you are more than that ❤

This is a very interesting subject. Who defines a rich and meaningful life? Does society set the standard ( American Dream)? Does evolution? Does the individual get a vote (self actualization)? How do healthy relationships fit into a somewhat toxic environment (capitalism)? So many questions? So many voices (parents, teachers, bosses, pastors, atheists, communists, socialists, capitalists, Republicans, Democrats, conservatives, liberals, psychologists, inner child, etc.). Are we having fun yet? Is there a better way? 🤔😕😉

@@victoriaporsiempre Some argue that one should live congruently with their core values. I'm trying that at the moment. It doesn't seem to be working (lots of internal validation, but little external validation). Maybe I need to dial it back a little (balance between internal & external validation).
