Heat helps the peroxide based aircraft paint strippers work better. I’m a retired aircraft painter and we were forced to switch to the safer strippers because people kept getting injured and it’s cheaper to dispose of but to get it to work better we would bake the coated aircraft at 120-130 degrees for an hour and then squeegee it off and reapply a second and third coat if needed. Bagging it and setting it in the sun makes a huge difference.

Did you consider doing a gold shock to match the forks?

Jaret I think your suppose to give the paint a quick sand paper to let the stripper penetrate passed the shiny surface. Cheers bud.

Great video, you guys! Have you thought about trying to fit a newer MV Agusta Brutale headlight instead of the stock one? The newer 800s have an awesome LED ring around the headlight as a DRL, and the new 1000 has that cool X shape in the middle, too.

my boss has this same bike and just tinted the light. Makes the whole thing too black but having the raw tank might help. He ordered a motodemic headlight for a more retro/cafe kind of look.

The tank already looked so good, I hope the brushed metal comes out as planned! As for the Ducati logo, why not make it bigger and have it follow the stripe on the sides of the tank? The logo looks awkward where it currently sits imo.

Bro, those green landscapes you got in the backyard reminded me of a very good joke (from my perspective), and I.ll type it: One man was eating grass from a supermarket green space, and also throwing some of it in a bag. A Maserati was parked near that spot, and suddently a Gucci shaded, quattro giorno bearded, half legs Prada leather boots and a nice matte satin black long coated guy unlocks the car, carrying the shopping bags which had loads of meats and cheese specialties, some Louis Roederer Cristal champagne bottle glasses caps visible at the top maybe, etc. And he saw this poor guy in his all fours, down there, and he asks him wtf is he doin'. The guy said that he's very hungry, and this supermarket has top end quality grass, so tasty that he puts some in the bag every time to bring the stuff to his family members. The Maserati driver seemed to be shocked and stopped him, inviting the guy and his family members for a badass dinner at his castle. - Oh well, you know, my family is kinda big, and we don.t wanna disturb, poor man said, smelling some generosity. - No worries, bro, come with all of them, and I will give you a proper dinner. - But we are like 25... - Bro, if you guys come all together at dinner, in one hour you will eat clean all the castle's green lands. PS: I wasn.t focused at the arrogant flavour of it, but on business idea at work. :P

Over the years I've learnt that the main issue with paint stripper is peoples patience. I recently stripped a shock absorber, one good coat left for a few hours, then another coat left over night and all 21 y/o paint gone after cleaning and scrubbing.
