Bro I copped his coded the ghost is not good at all it spins around and doesn’t move when it touches the wall

Hey the tech man! thanks for the video! It’s very helpful but…. I have a problem with my coding. I searched up videos on how to make the ghost code and I came across this/these amazing video/s. I tried doing your code, played with the numbers but my sprite just keeps on teleporting everywhere when it hits a wall. It was fine at first but when it hit the wall it started going crazy. It went to random areas and it was on a wall too (where it landed) so it teleported again it the same thing goes on and on and doesn’t stop. Can you give some ideas?

Try changing the speed of the ghost by altering the number of steps it takes. Also double check that the drawing of your ghost sprite doesn't contain any little stray dots and that it's perfectly centred over the cross.

@@TheTechTrain It worked out well after I centered them haha! I was creating the Sprite on another site so I guess when it imported the sprite it was not centered. Thank you!

not trying to be mean, but you can just put the pick number in whatever you don't need the variable.

on part 9, in make a block do you have to add a -.

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble. The code really does work correctly, but if you've made any mistake, even a small one, it can affect the way your game works. Do double check each line carefully.

MR J ARNOLD you did a mistake in editing the video you put the forever block without showing us in 11:25

There's obviously an issue with your code, but without seeing it it's very difficult to know what the problem could be. Feel free to share your project here so that I or someone else can have a look at it and suggest how you could fix it.

You change the speed by changing the number of steps it takes. So steps+10 might be where you start, but if that's too fast, bring it down to 1 or 2.

It definitely does work - you can see the game in the video working, and I've had scores of my own students follow this tutorial in class. Don't worry if you've made a mistake - that's part of coding. Have another careful look at your code while watching the video again.

if my pacman touches the wall, no matter what direction i make it go in, it stays there. Also, my red ghost only goes up and down and when it faces right, it happens so quickly. how do i fix it? By the way, heres the link scratch.mit.edu/projects/546292195
