So when tieing into your lighting console, you have to set the channel on the DMX decoder? Is it correct then that all 8 strips plugged into that decoder than have the same channel and must be controlled together as a group? I'm not sure I understand how to get individual control of all lights if they are each plugged into the same DMX decoder. Seems like I would need multiple decoders to get more channels.

Do you have a parts list of the dimmer pack, lights, power sources and diffusers?

Looks great! Did you run each power supply to separate outlets or does it matter?

At least in our case, it didn't really seem to matter where we plugged in the power supplies

@@practicalworship One more question. Did you use multiple decoders or were you able to address the different strips with the one decoder. I saw the shot where you had multiple colors running in the same lighting scene and was curious.

So the plug connectors are connected to each led strip? Sorta like a daisy chain? Thanks!

Kind of. Each bar actually gets its own channel except for the middle two sections. The top two bars of the middle section are tied together, the second two bars of the middle section are tied together, etc. We decided to run them in a parallel circuit, so basically each bar (the top left one and the top right one) both plug into the dimmer pack at that green plug. I hope that makes sense!

What cables did u use to connect the decoder to the power supply?

We have some leftover ballast wire, so we just used that. I think it’s probably 10 gauge. It’s pretty thick, which is probably overkill for the load it actually has to carry, but it works.

Did you have any flicker when viewed through cameras?

With this rig, no. We’ve used some products that, yes, had a flicker. If you can charge your frame rate on the camera rig, that can help sometimes.
