I ended up going back and flipped the ECHOS to face up-and-over the beams because they were creating a hollow sound pointing inside the beam 😄

I'm looking at building a home audio system throughout my home, and started building out a home theatre system using 2 Echo Studios and an Echo Sub. The sound quality is amazing. Unfortunately, I'm stuck in my apartment for a few months, so I can't let them sing yet :) I also have some of the full sized Echo hubs to place in various rooms throughout the house as well. I'm excited to get it all up and running!

The location of the speakers impedes the sound. They should be in a direct line of sight of your seated position and at ear level if possible. Otherwise, you are compromising the sound quality.

You know I did something similar in my kitchen above the cabinets where there is open space with the the small Echo Dot gen4 not wall mounted just sitting on its own for now. The sound is excellent having it high and in the location. I have the echo 3 on the kitchen counter. The whole kitchen is now full of very good sounding music. Good video.

Does this only work through fire stick tv? Can you use the same set up with a fire stick for connectivity but play terrestrial or sky tv?

Won't the tv speakers work? I have a soundbar attached to my tv but need a better surround so. Was thinking of doing this

My current setup is a Firestick 4K with a home theatre consisting of two echo speakers and an echo sub. My question is, if I may. If I upgrade to the new Fire cube which as a HDMI in will the home theatre side still work if I run my satellite system through the fire cube, in other word will sound from the satellite system come out of the of two echo speakers and an echo sub? Does echo dot 4thG and any external bluetooth speaker can play simultaneously without fireTv or home theater mode

Hey I have two dots and a sub and a new projector and a 4k Firestick but it won't allow me to use it with the projector. Apparently I need an arc HDMI port. How did you get round this. Is your projector using arc HDMI with Firestick?

I've got the exact same setup on my projector, 2 4th Gen echo's and a fire TV stick but when I play through the fre stick the sound is very quiet on full volume but if I connect via my phone to the speaker group like through Amazon music I get some decent sound out of the speakers. Any ideas what's going on here

Mine used to work fine, but now the sound started to come out of the projector out of suddenly.

Hello Marv, welcome to the channel. In order to achieve the similar results, you'll need to download this app for your ipCameras: i.p.Cam Viewer Full (I have a video on this app: kzread.info/dash/bejne/f4l7p9iYdcbFk7g.html) , then load them into the app. ....then goto alexa ROUTINES and create an routine like this: ALEXA> CUSTOM> "Open I.P. Cam Viewer Full App" THIS will trigger your fire TV or Alexa Show to open your app with the cameras displayed! I really should make a video on this SOON! Thank you for your interest! -Todd

one problem i find is it says the devices are not on the same network for some reason

I would suggest ditching the 4th gen echo's for 2 studios for the atmos sound. when its working 2 studios + a sub is an awesome HT setup. Issues I am having is right and left channel sync drops often and have to rebuild the setup in the app to fix, another issue is if you are using a firetv recast over the same wifi as your theater setup it will drop the home theater setup while watching recorded programs

I can’t seem to get my sub to work with the studio and firestick even in a speaker group.

I need the cube for this setup?

I have a Amazon 4 series tv that I'm trying to connect with echo studio. I will connect it to my home wifi and then set them up as a home theater. After I do this the studio connects to an Amazon wifi. When this happens I can't adjust bass, treble, or mid range. I've spoken with 8 different associates and been offered a new device. I connected my other studio in the same fashion and was faced with the same problem. Does anyone have any advice?

Do I also have to buy the Fire tv Stick to make this work?

I am reading in internet about Amazon Echo since 2 weeks, and I could not find any information about using them front and rear, to avoid buying a 5.1 home cinevam system. Is there any way to make a test about it? Thanks a lot

In HT mode, you can only use it in 2.1 set up (0.1 can only be the sub).

Thx for the video, Unfortunately, this is not a real home theater configuration. Is there a way to make 5.1 configuration using only echo dot devics?

Kind of..you can't do front and back sounds, only stereo. You can however hook up as many echos as you want soooo :)

Do I need a fire stick or cube in order to connect them to my tv? I already use my smart TV and xbox for media, and I don't really want to get another media device

If you pair the speakers with a firetv 4k max and use the ARC HDMI port on the tv you can use your echo home theater for all devices connected to the tv including your xbox

need to buy a firetv 4k max and set it up on the HDMI ARC port, it will then use your firetv device as an audio receiver for the nvida shield

I can't seem to get the ew to work , when I try the sliders in the app they move but go back to xero

I think the echos would sound better on the sides of the projector..the way u have them hidden kind of defeats the purpose..but I guess u are going for more of a cleaner look

Got it connected then next day would not connect have to delete and remake home theatre again every time I turn tv off… does not save or it’s losing signal any body else having these problems or something interfering ? Any suggestions thanks…

when your firetv stick or cube loses power it will reconnect but it takes several minutes on its own

I don't like when you go into the app you can't control the equalizer

Did not really show up much about the physical setup. Where's the receiver etc? Most of us tech folks can figure out Alexa on our own and don't need a walk through.

Is there a way to send sound from a pc to a couple of amazon echos that i have in my room? Y can only send sound to one of them but not to both.

By hiding them behind the beam you are completely killing the high notes, the tweeters are directional.

Where’s the center channel? This is no home theatre!
