Great video, thank you so much but there is a little thing missing here, because I can't understant how is possible to do an operation of validation based on the history of all interactions.. I remember something like that in DialogFlow, but here there's nothing similar. Even the NLP training is more difficult I think

Hi Sach, thanks for the great content! I'm trying to do the same, around minute 22, but every time I had my speech and text to the prompt, save, go to an other tap then come back, it's back to default without having taken changes into account :/

Can we still use Actions Builder because conversational Action will be removed on June 13, 2023. I have a spring boot project, and I'm kind of lost to either use dialogflow or Actions builder and especially with deprecating some functionalities !

I would advise to move away from building conversational actions if you are building something new as it's already deprecated and be valid only till next year. If you are building agents, you can use Dialogflow. If you want to add voice functionalities to interact with your Android apps, use app actions using shortcuts.

Thanks Sachin for making detailed video, as things have changed a lot. I build a webhook using Java for the dialogflow, now if I should build the new one for action-builder. How should I do it, can you share any code link which I can refer for java based webhook development compatible with action-builder??

Thanks, Priyanka Chaudhary! You can simply parse the request and response JSON payload and parse the entire information and build your fulfillment and webhook based on it. You can find the documentation here. Hope this helps. 🙂 developers.google.com/assistant/conversational/webhooks?tool=sdk#json

@@techwithsach Thanks Sachin, I thought, it would be something using built-in classes like we used to have for Dialogflow. And JSON parsing will be a workaround. But thanks for clarifying.

Hi, Actions Builder is used to build conversational Actions for the Google Assistant. Once it is deployed for Google Assistant, it can be used in both Android and iOS as a conversational Action. If you plan to extend the functionalities for your existing android app, you can refer to App Actions. Here is a complete tutorial on how to do that. 🙂 kzread.info/dash/bejne/p6d5pLqnodinmrw.html

Hi Dileep John, you can use Account Linking. Here are some resources. We will also be covering these in the upcoming videos. So Stay tuned. 🙂 Account Linking: developers.google.com/assistant/identity/google-sign-in Sample code: github.com/actions-on-google/actions-builder-account-linking-nodejs

@@techwithsach Thanks. From the documentation you can get name and email , but information like phone , DOB , Home address or location is not available through account linking . If you are using Dialogflow for creating actions we should be able to use helper intents to get the information like address and location. But it appears that feature is not available through action builder. Is that correct?

It looks like there is no way to add a system intent to the scene in the Action Builder. E.g. I want to add one of these: actions.intent.MEDIA_STATUS_FINISHED, actions.intent.MEDIA_STATUS_PAUSED, actions.intent.MEDIA_STATUS_STOPPED, actions.intent.MEDIA_STATUS_FAILED. When you try to add one of these to the scene, you will get the error: Name can only contain letters, numbers, and underscores. Name also must start with a letter. If you try to add it without the "actions.intent." part, e.g. MEDIA_STATUS_STOPPED it will be treated as a user's custom intent rather than a system one. And because of this it won't handle any callback for the Media object state changes. I searched through the docs and couldn't find how to do it. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi Pavel Filippov, You can do this directly using Actions Builder. Click on any *scene* within your action and then at the bottom, you will find * Error and Status Handling* . Click on the *+* icon and you will find all the * system intents* that you are looking for *actions.intent.MEDIA_STATUS_FINISHED, actions.intent.MEDIA_STATUS_PAUSED, actions.intent.MEDIA_STATUS_STOPPED, actions.intent.MEDIA_STATUS_FAILED and more* . Hope this helps. 🙂 All the best. 👍
