Create AMAZING Colorful Spiral Icon | Illustrator Tutorial
Check out Envato Elements here! 👉 1.envato.market/e401L6
We will create this twisting colorful icon graphic in Adobe Illustrator today. Use the shape tools and pathfinder to build the base of the shape first. Then, start applying transparent gradients and layer blending modes to build the edges of the shape and each facet of it. We will use a special gradient trick to create a spinning rainbow gradient, and much more!

I also like the short summaries at the beginning of the videos. It gives more experienced users almost everything they need to know without having to watch the whole video.

Yeeaahhhh!
Great video overall! Feels right on time for me because I wanted to freshen up my illustrator knowledge and this video goes over many of the things we've seen in earlier tutorials. If I were to make a request, I'd like an Illustrator tutorial with some use of textures or other techniques to give the design a more organic feeling. Although I realize that's probably better done in Photoshop. Keep up the good work!

Great to hear! I have some stuff on textures in Illustrator coming soon, but I’ll double check my list and make sure it’s coming soon!
Nice video.

Hey Nate Goos seeing you at work man, I'm merely 3 years into Illustrator yet I would assume the technique demonstrated here is intensely more complicated than what I would do in this case. Please could you elaborate on it? Once again cool vids man way to go with the NY accent.
How did you get your illustrator to look like this? Like it looks darker and more sleek than mine

In the Properties menu there is an option to make your interface lighter or darker.
aww man I see this and sooo want it in photoshop.

It's all doable in Photoshop. Just a little tricky because the path tools in Photoshop aren't quite as forgiving as the pathfinder and smart guides of Illustrator. I like the idea so maybe next month or next week or something, I can do this in Photoshop. Glad you like it!
