    I need this template 😅 this immediately made me feel more relaxed at the idea of systems and telling me what to do. Less thinking the better😂

    Loved this video! Thanks so much for sharing and I can't wait to see the actual TODAY/Admin set up video for ideas on how to set that one up. Thanks a million for everything you do.

    Thank you!!!! I have been struggling getting started in the AM just going straight to my Today page. Creating this immediately! And also thank you for showing how you use buttons - I know there are a ton of ways buttons can be useful but I don't think to use them unless I see an example like this. Really appreciate your help!

    Love all the inspiration in this video!! Curious, how were you able to make the scroll bar under the Today/Wed linked gallery view on the left side not appear? 🤯

    That's what I do in my course, Notion Mastery! It's a pretty complex interconnected system, so I teach folks how to customize their own based on their own needs. The end of week review is based on all the key databases in your workspace. Giving all those databases to newer notion users usually ends up in a lot of confusion, because its based on habits that you develop over time. I hear it ALL the time, people try to buy templates to set up their system, but it ends up being messy and confusing. Its way more effective when people actually build up their own vs downloading templates!

    Thank you so much to explain this in so much detail, Marie. I am taking a lot of cues from your video's to setup my environment that way that suits me best. However, two details I can't figure out: - How did you get the funny color-changing dividers? (I have changed the colors on mine, but they're still static). - More importantly (to me): how do you get rid of the horizontal scrollbar when creating that boardview of today's journal entry on the left? Thanks again for sharing all this, much appreciated!

  • @MariePoulin

    @MariePoulin

    The color changing divider is a tiny gif made in photoshop that is extremely wide and only a few pixels tall! The horizontal scrollbar is part of your system settings. Depending on your Operating System, it's under System Settings > appearance > scrollbars. You can change to "when scrolling" so they don't appear all the time!

    When you travel, do you journal backwards, like catch up on recording your habits even if you were away from your computer?

    I usually do most of my end of day journaling from my phone. It's such a habit now it's rare that I forget, but if i did yeah i would just catch up the next day!

    Can you explain how the "Add to today's journal" button is formatted in your workout section? How can you make it go to a specific page entry that changes every day? Thanks, these videos are so helpful, especially as someone with ADHD!

  • @MariePoulin

    @MariePoulin

    I'll do a more in depth video on buttons, but basically the button updates the Journal relation on the Workout entry. The button is set to "edit page in [Journal]", filter = "start date is today" (so it will only ever connect to the current days journal), Then choose to "Add [This page]", so its relating the entry i have open to today's journal. I'll try to record a follow up video for this!
