The holiday season is upon us and in this digital, over manufactured age, handmade items have become even more special. Join me, Trisha Selgrath, in making greeting cards that will be treasured. In fact, these 5x7 cards can be framed. I'll take you through making this Star of Bethlehem card step by step. I did edit out the blow dryer parts!

What a beautiful card, and a great idea! Thanks so much for sharing this technique. I would be very glad if you could create even more cards dedicated to the Nativity of our Lord. For those who do not have very great skills in drawing, but very, very, very fond of watercolors and creating Christmas cards you are very helpful and joyful! God bless you!

Give it a try and just take it one step at a time. There really isn't much detail. It's just little dabs of the brush. Merry Christmas!

I cut out the blowdrying scenes because they are noisy and boring. Just remember to dry the paper between paint applications if you don't want it to blend. Fully dry before lifting the masking fluid.

@@theresebeakes341 Hi! The easiest tool is a rubbery square that is sold in art supply stores. In a pinch, you can use a clean, white eraser. Thanks for the question!

Lol! No, but if you don't draw, this is an easy one to start with because it doesn't have to be an accurate representation of the town. Just make little domes and dashes for rooftops. Come on, you can do it!

Thank you for your question. I didn't realize that I had left out the list: Cad yellow, ochre, cad orange, burnt sienna, violet, ultramarine blue, indigo. Of course, you can use other colors if you like. Have fun!
