Nice! You are a very good teacher! I would like to make check list for month end close in Excel, showing accounting activities to be done and the different status. Functions like sorting by type av activity, responsible person etc. and a box showing the "progress in percentage", would be nice. Is there any easy way to make this?

HI, thanks for this tutorial. Once question, maybe you can help me with this. I'm looking for the way of doing the same formula but instead of returning the check from a yes or no value, I would like it to return the date of when I marked the action as checked for later use. So you'll get the checked icon with the date of when you checked it. Thanks!

You'd have create a helper column for "Checked" and "Unchecked" and use that as your pivot table selector

I need help. I'm creating a personal expense calculator. Using the third technique, picture the To Do column being the name of my bill, a middle column for the amount of the bill, and the third being the check boxes, (except my 0 value is set to no icon.) How do I create a box that says IF there is a check in my third column, add the coinciding amount of that bill. Basically, if I check of that I've paid the bill, what is the total I've spent in bills.... I'm up to the stopping point at the end of this video, I just can't figure out how to do a 'conditional' SUM.
