Creamy Jaggery Rice Pudding Recipe
Ingredients:
250g rice, soaked in water for 1 hour
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp cardamom powder
3 liters milk
250g jaggery, grated or chopped
270ml double cream
Instructions:
Soak 250g of rice in water for 1 hour. After soaking, crush the rice gently with your hands.
Heat a pan on medium flame and add 1 tbsp of butter. Once the butter is melted, add the soaked rice and roast for 1 minute.
Add 1 tbsp of cardamom powder to the roasted rice and mix well. Then, pour in 3 liters of milk and bring it to a boil.
Cover the pan with a lid and cook on low flame for 50 minutes, stirring occasionally.
After 50 minutes, uncover the pan and stir well. Add 250g of grated or chopped jaggery and mix until it dissolves completely.
Pour in 270ml of double cream and mix. Cook for an additional 1 minute while stirring constantly.
Transfer the pudding to a serving dish
Enjoy chilled.
