I was tight on budget so I used some leftover frozen shrimp and canned tuna chunks. It still tasted great! Threw in leftover thyme and dill just because, haha

I always resort to this recipe, it's amazing, the creamy delicious fish pie makes every event one to remember

Made this recipe tonight (minus the smoked fish) and put clams in as well. OMG I'm keeping this recipe it was SO GOOD!

I've made this several times but with large mouth bass from Skaneatles Lake.....so delicious! One of my go to recipes.

Not that you have to the fish tends to keep its structure more when cooked in the pie from raw. the juices in the fish will give the sauce the flavour as it bakes in the oven

Okay, I watched just about every KZread video for fish pies and none come close to this. None. Making this for my family for 4 years now. Epic. I add bacon instead smoked fish. And some onions. Celery is boss in potatoes. Well played Donal!

I like to add shallots to the rue and I also add baby peas to this:) Some chopped dill/parsley are nice.

Let's face it. You can't go wrong with a great fish pie!! For people of my below average skill level, it's the perfect dish to make for friends and family. Absolutely delicious - but I must confess to adding an egg yolk and a little cheese to my sauce!!

Just made this for tea was gorgeous. I used the wrong fish I think and underseasoned the mash but came out tasty.
