i got my k1c about a month ago and been printing non stop, with PLA, Silk and CF. This is my very first 3d printer and as a complete noob to 3d printing the k1c hasn't failed me at all besides the usual user fault issues, Its been a very good experience coming into the 3d printing world because of the k1c. I definitely recommend to anyone new that wants to get into 3d printing.

And one thing that you did not mention is that the k1c has a different set of smaller pulleys and smaller motors. This was done to improve the VFA issue the k1 has. Cheers take care

I'm a newbie to world of 3D printing. I've been reading and watching as much KZread videos to determine which printer I want to purchase. I'm leaning toward a enclose system to keep the smell down to a minimum and not to worry about temperature control for the open systems. My question is "Would you recommend replacing the nozzle on the Creality K1 or the Creality K1 Max by Microswiss FlowTech Hot end? " So not having to heat the nozzle up to remove it and then replace the nozzle, plus torque it in place so not to leak. That way you can change the nozzle when it is cold. Looks like Microswiss FlowTech Hot end makes it for other manufacturers also.

I love my k1 and have updated the extruder, hot end, added camera and did a few things like level bed and rooted it. It prints like a dream and paired with Orca it is a beast. I never really cared for creality before and have 3 other printers from other brands. But now my k1 is my go to printer. I have over 1000 hours on it and up to now its been great. We'll except for the exploding door. Lol. But creality was great and is sending me a replacement door and dealing with them was easy. I was surprised. Love these kinds of videos.

Hi frank, i am looking to get into 3d printing and i am not sure what types of filaments i will print for the most part but i wanted to get a machine that can print many types so i wont have to upgrade in the future. I have seen the creality k1, k1c and k1 max as being good options however people also say that bamboo lab printers like the p1p, p1s and x1 carbon are better and more intuitive for beginners. I was wondering if you could recommend a printer for someone looking to get into 3d printing that is versatile enough to print tough filaments, comes enclosed or has an option to be enclosed such as the upgrade kit for the p1p, and is easy enough for a beginner to use. Also a plus if the machine has a print bed that is standard and or can be upgraded to use multiple filaments. Thanks!

Just root it and do a proper inputshaper. Out of the box it does inputshaper in the x axis and uses that value for the y axis also. I have a k1 since december and i already had the newer extruder in it. Only added the webcam and rooted. After rooting i run the guilloz script to get the input shaper good. The printer is great. Only thinking of changing the pulleys for smaller ones to get rid of the vfa. Already have them just need to put them in the printer 😁

The problem with the K1 or K1 C is the Creality idea that you must only buy their own K1 type Nozzles and that are pricey! You can't buy any nozzle of that type for them only theirs. I stick to my Qidi X-Plus-3 thanks, it has a bigger build size and a better system than the K1 or K1 C. And the newer Q1 Pro by Qidi blows any other Core XY out of the water. Even better than my Qidi X-Plus-3. any company who makes 3D printers should not only open source the Klipper system their use ( Which Creality did not do on the K1 series ) until the users moaned at them for not doing it per the Klipper terms and conditions said, But any company doing the printers should also make the volcano type nozzles used be ones we all can buy from anyone not just them? And I agree that Elegoo's mega sized Orange Storm Giga needs a smaller version around say a 300 square one & 500 square print area core xy as we can't all get the giga one due to the cost?

And the 360 x 360 x 360 print volume is a cosplayer's dream. I get that most can't afford this machine but they really a cut above the rest.
