Creality Ender 5 Pro - unboxing, review, assembling and first 3d prints

Ғылым және технология

(*reupload: this is not coreXY printer, but cube frame cartesian)
The most popular cube frame cartesian 3D printer is the Creality Ender 5 and this is the upgraded (pro) version. Printing volume is 220x220x300 mm (X, Y, Z direction). Hotend on this type of cartesian printer is moving in X, Y direction and the building plate is moving slowly down (by raising Z coordinate). This gives us possibility for a bigger speed and more stability with tall, thin objects. The Pro version already includes some common upgrades from Ender 5 (like Capricorn tube, metal extruder, yellow springs, silent stepper motor drivers etc.)

Nice Video! I just bought an Ender 5 pro and really agree with your opinion on it, would be interested, which Mainboard you got with your printer, as they seem to be delivered with different boards?

so tempted to buy this but then i want the 6 because it is actually corexy but then im so close to voron already. I think you are the first one to mention the spool holder bolts being too long, my 3 v2 has same problem. Does the pause while printing come from the layer being wrote to the sd for recovering interrupted print. You can turn it off in the slicer with g code.

Anyone have the original ender 5 pro files. I'm unable to find them. The creality site has a link to dropbox but apparently there is a backdoor virus on the files and I'm unable to download. I should have copied them from my card when I received it. The card has the manual, test files, etc.

Voron is about $1800-2000 Ender 5 Pro about $400. So it's more a question of is Voron 5 times better than Ender. Probably not but price/quality relation is not linear. Source: www.reddit.com/r/voroncorexy/comments/hofkoy/how_much_does_it_cost_to_build_a_voron_24/

@@medyk3D depending on the Voron size for the 2.4 you can get a complete kit on aliexpress for around $800-$900 (search formbot Voron)say a $1000 with shipping and the quality of the parts would probably be inline with creality. So it really is a question of is it 2x as good not 5x, plus you can get a far bigger print area and a much faster true coreXY printer.

ABS with no enclosure is always problematic regardless of brand. You may try ABS+ or ASA and draft shield option in cura. Also cheap option is just to put cardboard box over the printer and monitor the print.
