Mom is an RN who loves her job, and my sister is a trauma nurse who also loves her job. Growing up with those two, learning all the basic first aid, and realizing the best thing you can do is not panicking and turning off that grossed out part of your brain early is awesome for a kid. It's a big lesson in building thick skin.

I loved day 2 when Dr Matt tells his kids "This is what happens when you don't look before you cross the street. My daughter was watching the video with me and when he said that here eyes grew to the size of saucers and she looked ta me and said "That's why you always told me to look first? Cause that could happen? Thank you for telling me to look first!". What an impact that made. I heard her telling her friend all about it on the phone a few hours later. It made me realize how many things we tell our kids not to do because they might get hurt but never what we mean by hurt. See, Dr. Matt - you are impacting more then just futures vets!

Krešimir Jurilj my grandma's neighbor got a Rottweiler and paid a whole lot cause she was full blooded, this was a quite a while ago my dad was a teen and he's almost 40, and not like a week later he accidentally ran over the dogs back legs and the owner left her suffering till she probably would have died. my grandma couldn't stand her suffering so she started to feed her and eventually stole her from his yard. She took her to a vet and my grandma couldn't afford to do everything to help her because her hips were completely broke then had healed back not correct. but after my grandma spent what she could to do what was needed the original owner wanted her back and my grandma told him to pay for all the vet expenses and he shut up about wanting her back real quick.

Putting an apostrophe on a plural word is only right when the word is marking a possessive--who is 'Mess"? Nothing belongs to mess--it's an adjective, not a noun. Amazing truly amazing!! The work you do. Vets are a whole different kinda love. I can see your daughters name next to yours someday. Maybe you have that in the back of your mind? Way to go! Thanks for sharing your love and talents. I have a pretty good stomach, but there have been times I looked away. Of course it's graphic but that's not a reason to censor. Geesh just close your eyes people! Thanks again Dr. Matt!

I swear, when I qualify as a vet, I am going to ask if I can work with you. The work that you guys do is exactly what I want to do one day. The vets here on my side are just not as dedicated. Sure, they will heal their patients. But they won't take in patients from shelters to save them from being murdered or save rescues. It's just sad, really. But what you do- it's what I've aspired to do since I was a toddler. I would be honoured to work with you (if I could) some time in the future. Also, thank you for helping all these non-humans! You and your team are all so amazing! Thank you all for doing what you do.

If he's still available when I get my own place next year, I'm going to look into adopting him. I live in Texas and while I know it's a big state, in one of the videos the Fort Worth animal shelter was mentioned that the animal came from and I'm right in that area. Edit: He's not appearing on the website for Big Hair Animal Rescue under their adoptable pets, so I'm going to guess he's been adopted.
