Ellen has such a beautiful voice, BLUE is another song she sings that I love. A voice like Ellen's are few and far between.

Mama Petersen on bass was my highlight.

I was starting to convince myself that nobody (including Willie himself) could do Crazy anywhere near as well as Patsy Cline...but apparently I was wrong.

Fact: If Ellen was born in the 50's or 60's, she'd have her own Theme Park by now.

To the best of my knowledge there is not a better quality group in America. Please do not ever split apart.

The thing I love is that they are not trying to imitate Patsy Cline or Willie Nelson. They use their own bluegrass instrumentals and sibling harmonies to create something new and different. I've had the honor of seeing them do this one live and all I can tell you is that if you get a chance to go see The Petersens live, drop whatever you're doing and just go.

Me too. Sure is nice seeing talented youngsters doing classic songs.

Ellen does amazing things with her “throat voice” and her “head voice”. At times she seems to actually be making musical notes that fall in between the high and low. She has a mastery over changing back and forth better than anyone else. And it’s also a wonderful experience to listen and to enjoy what she is able to do.

Nobody sings Patsy Cline like Ellen. Those three backup singers ain't bad either.

Lost my mom to cancer a few years back, this was her favorite song. Thank you for this

Willie Nelson would be proud to hear what you did with his song.

To think that when Willie was a struggling singer-songwriter in his mid-20s, he offered to sell this song for 50 bucks to a pub band leader, to buy groceries for his family, and the band leader said "You wrote that song?? Man, don't sell that song. That's a keeper." And the rest is history. Source: Willie's autobiography "It's a Long Story" (2015). Awesome performance of a classic, Petersons. Keep up the amazing work.

Another consummate performance from the world's best bluegrass family band. Superb!!!😊

Ellen's beautiful voice is enhanced with songs like this (like "Blue" or like "She's Got You" for example). She temporarily puts aside the banjo and puts all her vocal talent to reach very high peaks of interpretation. Only great female voices have been able to interpret this song in the best way, and Ellen is certainly among them. If we then add highly professional instrumental accompaniment and fantastic choirs, we have another great Petersens masterpiece. Always with love. Roberto❤

I'm so glad you guys did this one. It's got all the trademarks of The Petersens again: a strong lead, a very creative arrangement, nice little solos, beautiful harmonies, and some fun at the end. And to those meaning well and saying the lady singing lead is a second Patsy Cline, she's not, she's the first Ellen Haygood!😊

Me ,too. In our household in PA Dutch Country the radio was always tuned to WCKY with Leroy, your coffee drinking night hawk, spinning hours of the best of country/bluegrass. My daddy's favorites were the Louvin Brothers...I was just little, but I thought we must know them personally cause we called them by their first names... was the plane crash that killed Patsy Cline sometime around the plane crash that killed some of the Blackwood Brothers...anyone know? Somehow they seem connected in my memory.

Since hearing the Petersens do Crazy, I have been feeling some of the same nostalgia of the poster to whom I responded...homesick for a time past...growing more and more eager for a time future. Ellen does a great job on this song. I heard her sing this live at the Little Opry Theater in Branson a few weeks ago. I told her she made me cry. A wonderful tribute to a great artist who was taken from us much too soon. Patsy would be proud!

I love Patsy Cine and my favorite song is Crazy. This is the best rendition I have ever seen or heard. I have watched this video 6 times already and will continue whenever I need a Crazy fix, by the way I will be 75 this year and love all of your videos. Karen

The Petersens do it again, one of the very best covers of "Crazy" ever! Amazing vocals and instrumentals, and they have a great collection of microphones too. Mom does an outstanding job on double bass, I just wonder if lowering the end pin of her bass would make playing a bit more comfortable for her. In any case, great job!
