The dominance of Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia in distance running is crazy.

The mainstream are not interested in any race longer than 100 metres. Most people these days have the attention span of a cabbage and will find a 800 metre race boring to watch not to talk about a marathon 😂

Koech looked great and he's 36 years old. That's 1 more example that a marathon runner's prime can extend into his late 30s.

If he runs 2hr 4 minutes he’ll win Gold. The Olympic marathon is about medals and not times

You only have 3 maximum per country. I'm sure they could mix up the pacing if they wanted to but I would want to be going for the top 3 places, otherwise I may as well be running in an event that pays good appearance and prize money. This only really applies to the top African runners, as most other nations struggle to get to the Olympic standard (or multiple runners under it)

Tinha que ser obrigatório para todos que tem espaço nas maratonas. Mostrar a chegada e a imagem do tempo. Não queremos ver depois.

That’s not happening because the olympics doesn’t have pacing so there is extremely low likelyhood he will get 2:01-2:02 plus he can’t do that on normal courses with pacing what makes you think he can do a 2:02!?

no one is gonna run below 2:03 in paris, not even if they try. it's a pretty though course. people are just not informed and clueless.

Stupid, stupid, stupid motorcycle crossing in front of runners on a repeated basis. WTF do they need a vehicle in the back of the runners. Than you have all these bicycles. How many bikes do you need to follow the runners? Which ones are official and which are spectators? Such an amateur run race. No wonder its NOT a majors race.

Because one of the races biggest sponsors is a car company…and the car at least provides all the people on the sidelines with the clock as the leaders go by.

Why are pro runners allowed to have pacers? Get rid of them and follow the same rules as the olympics.
