I picked up some off AliExpress. Do I go for 50k or 10k parts?

btw is it like just changing the dead zone and does it fix it like factory new because if you use the stick drift calibration kit is it smooth like new?

Long story short, the potentiometers go bad normally over time and don't report centered as material is removed, this device tells the stick, wherever it is, where center is. you control that with the screws, From what i've read. it's not an actual permanent fix. you can calibrate multiple times as the potentiometers continue to wear down but once there's nothing that can be tracked whatsoever you will need to replace those which will require some soldering

Lol just done this worked great. As luck would have it I bought 1 kit to see if it works I had 2 faulty controllers . 1 kit fixed both as I had a left and a right faulty. £15 bargain. Did rip a L2R2 ribbon cable so back to eBay for a new one lol. It’s like paper be careful lol

So basically, I had to get a new Ps5 Controller after my old one got stick drift on the right joystick. I’m currently using the new one , But I still have my old one that has drift. Was thinking about getting this mod (even though I’ve never done soldering before) and give it a try. I’ve seen some people say that it doesn’t work well and only increases the dead zone. You commented this 7 months ago, is the mod still working? Did you need to go back in the controller to re calibrate again? If so, how many times?

@@danielm4136 both my controllers are still working without fail never had to adjust it. I use it everyday for a couple hours best £15 I ever spent. Soldering isn’t to difficult don’t over think it just put it over the pins and heat up with iron. It will work.

It works, just takes some time to do it and you have to be very careful. A lot of room for error.

Man, you are a lifesaver, I have had some drift problems lately and think of buying a new one cause I never had an idea that I can fix it myself using a tool like that. Thank you Man and I will give it a try

CAN ANYONE TELL ME, is this just deadzone adjustment OR does it actually fix the joystick being inaccurate and makes it symetric? Cuz if this just adjusts deadzone its a complete waste of money😂

Once you fit it you calibrate back to center using the the controller calibration site. Works a treat

Misinformation. This does not fix stick drift permanently. The potentiometers will continue to wear on the stick and will eventually need to be replaced

Misinformation would be him saying it was a permanent fix. Knowing anything about how and why sticks wear down would tell you that. This is a fix and a working fix. It's added another 4 months so far to a 3rd party controller my dad uses that only lasts about 4 in the first place.
