CRAZY SKETCHY Ford F-250 Cab Harvest and ENGINE/TRANS PULL for My Son's 1959 Ford Custom
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
There are several of things to take away from this video, such as: Do not let your truck run away from you. Do not cut a driveshaft while lying under a vehicle. Do not attempt to lift an entire vehicle with a glorified fence post. And much, much more...

I thought handing over the toolbox was going to be a big ceremony!! You just drop it next to him!! That was so funny! 😂👍😂
Absolutely love your channel and your sense of humor. It's great to see that you have your son out there helping you. Can't wait for your next video as always thank you!
Not only is Dalton waaaay beyond father of the millennium!!! He is making me relieve my childhood! Best channel on KZread! Bar far!
i’m sure this won’t be the last super sketchy thing to happen on this channel 😂😂

I have to admit to being a little disappointed at not finding out the source of all the stink under there. 🤣
I LOVE HOW A GOOD FATHER TEACHES HIS SON GOOD THINGS IN LIFE! I was taught the same way. The dropping off of the tool box and the elder saying to you, "Go on, don't just stare at it, get going and get er done", the old ways of learning, figuring it out yourself with ZERO help. Aaahhh, the good ole days! Anyway, thanks for the video 📸.
His son doing things the old way helps the son to develop and grow. Hard labor grows the body.

Exactly. Lots of folks in here that don't understand that. Get tough or die
In the true father and son tradition, son has to do the harder parts of the job. When it came time for me to build my first "street drivable car" , I had saved $125. To buy my engine. My dad said to me here another $100. , buy a better engine 😂👨🔧🏁.
So glad I found this channel. Two reasons. Reason one: love the humor and two; love the ways you work on vehicles......you teach us folks the Expert Reckless Abandon ways of any project. So keep up the great work in creating great humorous content. Remember thousands of us rely on your expert content for automotive restoration lol. P.S. i know my sentence manufacturing sucks, but thats how I like it, keeps people confused and questioning.

Pole Barn Garage. Our motto: "Ooops!" 😎👍
I enjoy watching you and JD work on different projects and the craftmanship you put in each build.
Oh the memories, your videos will be treasured by your future grandchildren, hopefully!?!
lol commentary is the best part. Glad see a young one interested in fixing up old cars.
Takes me back over50 years to working on marginal machinery with my dad my contribution was very little but I learned so many things about old cars some good, smoking killed him long before his time
Now that was fun, I thoroughly enjoy watching you risk your appendages for the sake of entertaining us!! Looks like you have fun and your a hoot to watch!! I’m in
Start strength training by buying some piglets and lift each one over the fence every day. By the time it comes to sell them, you'll be able to put that 750-pound FE motor on the engine stand without a cherry picker. 😁
I have heard stories about folks that plumb the engine exhaust into the cab. This is first hand results right here.
Great content as always! JD is going to learn lots from you as long as you aren't flattened by a runaway truck first...work safe! :)
When you were getting the engine out and she swung, I thought "There goes the windscreen!", but no..... Then when you picked the cab up and she kept rocking forward, I thought "There goes the windscreen!", but no...... Then when that cab slid up the pole and rear ended the truck, I thought "There goes the windscreen!", but no....... Mind you, when you appeared beside the truck to look at the cab after it had done that, you were wearing the same expression I was! JD seems very enthusiastic about giving you a hand too, mate. Just gotta keep giving him them pointers and guiding him onto what to do next. My old Dad was the same and gave me all sorts of tips when I was his age. I'll never forget the difference between a spanner and a crescent wrench after having one hurled at my ankles from under a 1948 Ford Bonus with the words "wrong tool, dumbass!". Explanations and speech in general was much less complicated in the 70s than it is nowadays.....
Whoever dont watch pole barn needs to go sit on the porch...this channel should be at 1/2 a million Subs lets go fellas👍

My dad did the same thing to me... handed me a wrench, told me to change the oil on my car, then said 'good luck.'
Looks like a well optioned truck. V8, power brakes, power steering, sliding rear window, vinyl top, and all the trim. Must be a 72 model camper special.
Pretty awesome working with your son. Takes me back to my first project car (that I still have) with my pops and taking the front end off of it man you hit me in the feels I love it. Keep it up dudes.
Love this: Time 2:13...."Got it?" "Yup!" Uh, nope!
Your so humorous and entertaining while just doing it. Thank you for sharing!
Mortske Repairs would be proud.. This here is Young Morske with kids. before the dog..
Can the neighbors see? Okay!!! You've got me laughing so hard.
If you look in the dictionary for the definition of “Shade Tree Mechanic”, there will be your picture. And I mean that as a compliment! I spent 40 years as a heavy truck tech, and I have done many of the same things as you do!
You know there is some guy in New York or Wisconsin saying "what are they doing to that mint pickup!?".
You have raised a good son. This brings me back to my father and I and him doing exactly what you did with your son. See the only difference is I as an 11 year old told my dad don't worry I got this then proceeded to get the Sawzall much to his dismay. Lol yup true story. 😅
Can someone remind me why I watch this? Oh yeah, because IT’S AWESOME!!!!

Watching you pull that engine & trans across the floor made my back hurt.😂
You make every safety director crap their pant Love it
Nice to see someone else does things the way I used to , you know before the surgery that left a 10 inch scar on my lower back! Take care of yourself, we only get one body. Otherwise great content ,I enjoy seeing your projects and progress. Have had thoughts of marrying the camera myself sometime.
Congrats PBG on getting the engine/trans out and the cab off. lv ur videos.
Can't believe I just found your she know if you're not too long ago. It's great to see you and your son working together and on a bunch of different kind of vehicles man so keep it up. Great job!
I work in the land of sketchy all the time! Keeps life interesting. My wife loves it too 😉

I see your dad taught you to work on stuff the same way my dad taught me! He taught me to drive the same way, pitched me the keys to the 1967 2 ton international grain truck and said to follow him to the next field, he was on a combine and I found a gear that would pull the truck and filled him have been driving every since, oh and I was about 11 years at this time!
“Wait… Can the neighbours see?” Love you channel!
Sure do love that engine hoist! Thought for sure that the cab was going to slide right into that hoist and smash that windshield! Good one!
Hilarious at times but I have to say I love it when you’re working with the boy. Warms my heart.
It's amazing, All of the Stuff on Mopars and Motorcrafts that we find easy to do, you have a fit about. Those old Chevy's are too easy to work on... Keep up the Good Work and it's great that JD has such a good Pah as you. 😉👍
Dalton, you never fail to crease me up 🤣
I can't believe you did it with out breaking the window as well. 👍

You might consider making an outdoor overhead crane lift. You can make it with old telephone poles.
Brilliant, nice bit of DIY ( destroy it yourself) cab removal!
Just found your stuff last week 1970 holy gto great stuff 👏 love your work effic
Absolutely a hoot to watch the 2 of you guys messing around. Much more entertaining than the scripted crap from the "big guys" 🐾🐕🐶 Also far more realistic and down to earth than the shows with unlimited funds and backing.
My friend used to hook his draft horse up to a hood similar to that and then stand on the hood and have Tom the horse drag him around. You could hear him coming down the gravel road for a mile. 😎
Great content! Teach 'em young.
Team work is great
That grill is perfect..
Pretty decent cab and bed for a bump side. At a distance anyway haha
as a man of experience of not having park, or a park brake, use a window scraper for snow and ice, or a piece of wood or metal, (about 2 feet long one) and cram it between the seat and brake pedal, then scoot seat forward until brake is applied AKA park brake.

Great vid
Very cool jd is interested in the things you do to heck he might do a crazy car project that would be cool a father and son project 👍💯
I bolted some warped lumber to the arm of my engine crane and pulled the doors off the cab and it worked flawless

Crazy going back to these old videos and seeing how much JD has been able to start batting that banter back at you in the last few months. He’s gotta be one of the funniest kids I’ve seen, being able to keep up with your wit and bits, I think the height of my comedic talent when i was twelve was saying racially insensitive things on xbox live lmao
Get a few cheapo creepers, they may sag but they help move an engine and transmission pretty nicely.
Every time they run that hydraulic lift on the back of that truck, all I think about is Peter Griffin killing that whale on the beach with a forklift.
Should have to do this first one with a adjustable wrench, pliers, vice grips, pipe wrench, and screwdriver like I did! Makes you appreciate tools we have now!
Took rigging 101 thanks for the refresher. Enjoyed it much more than my first class
@PoleBarnGarage

We took the same class?
Would have possibly been better to hook the verticle strap just to the front, leaving the horizontal strap on. That way the front of the cab would have lifted up along with the rest.
👍 nice old truck. Well,maybe I spoke prematurely 😂

I feel your struggles. Most of what I do is "by my self"
Or you could of used the floor jack and set the engine on a car wheel dolly 👍 I've done that before works good although it can still tip over if handled wrong . but makes them easy to move around for the most part. That is if you have a wheel dolly laying around .

Hell yes
As far as that hidden bolt holding the fender on I've heard a saying that there's a special place in hell reserved for Ford engineers. With as far as you have that truck stripped it wouldn't take much to turn it into a pickup box trailer. Or as my friend would call a pickup box trailer with a topper a Hillbilly camper.
@PoleBarnGarage

That's the plan!
I love this vid😊
Decent truck body from what I can see not too bad.
I have a suggestion for the boom picker to keep things from sliding down it. I'd weld a plate close to the end of the boom say 1 to 2 foot from the end, and 1 plate about 1/2 the way down so your chains won't slide as much
@PoleBarnGarage

Yeah I planned on something similar. It slipped because the reinforcement broke off, safe to say it needs a total overhaul
At least you are teachings your son to work on one of the hardest vehicles to work on Ford. My dad taught me at early age I believe is exact words where boy if you ever drive a Ford here park on the street don’t park in the driveway. In my life I have had some Fords found out that GM was much easier to work on so needless to say I drive Chevrolet trucks.
