I'd do it the other way, Color on the Lock Screen, and Black and White on the Home screen, so the Apps are more visible.

I used to do this on my android phone literally 7..8.. years back.. Edit:- guys it has nothing to do with Apple Vs Android.😂😂 In fact I’m myself using an iPhone and still do this on my wall.. The point was just to tell that this trick is really old by seeing how people are getting surprised to this now.. And technically i had android back then..that’s all 😂
