Happened to me last week.. 1st of 2 bites a skimmer dropped off (frozen elastic) 2nd of 2 bites 2 min before the all out a 6lb 2oz carp for second and a nice £200 + trophy 👍Luck definitely on my side 😀 🎣👍

You guys that fish in these conditions are warriors. I cannot do it. I cannot concentrate on anything when I get cold.

Maybe Guru could develop a glycerine or vaseline based lubricant that would help with the elastic freezing,alternatively stay at home in front of the fire lol.

Breaking the ice can often result in some fantastic fishing Stephen. It’s not for everyone, but in matches you have no other choice than breaking it 👍
Hi Matt well done on this video did exactly the same on the canal this week...can you tell me where you got your gloves ?and also is there anything you can do to stop your elastic freezing up ?

Hi Dave. The gloves are just from a normal DIY shop. Standard building gloves. As for the elastic freezing, not sure there is anything you can really do.
