Picked up a Johnny Was blouse for 50 cents at a yard sale! The other clothes were “penny items” from Dollar General. The yard sale was at a house directly across from DG.. so I could tell they must do the “penny finds”. So AMAZED when I found the Johnny Was. Second Johnny Was I found last weekend for $2 from a church yard sale

cool-waar. It's a french word, meaning hallway. I believe it's an outdoorsy brand. A couloir is a term mountaineers in the US will use. I believe it is a sort of narrow column in a mountain face to ski down or climb up.

I love the clothing hauls. I do mostly clothing so this is great info for me. For the brown corset top, I’d use the key word “renaissance” because it kind of looks like something people wear to the renaissance fair.

Johnny Was is like the "white whale" of thrifting! You're so right! If I ever found one I would probably pass clean out. They just sell for so much online. Such a score. I love finding the occasional lovely Eileen Fisher sweater at the Goodwill near me. Also murano glass and expensive wood desk accessories and boxes. Recently found a huge Georgia O'Keeffe framed print for 8 dollars. My very favorite artist!

Actually, not far from where I live in Southern California there is a Johnny Was outlet.

You are the most beautiful person!! I was checking out at goodwill and a very cute lady was so loving the pair of shoes I had in the cart. The first thing I said was “are they your size?” I wanted to hand them to her but she said they weren’t. I’m not bragging because it still surprises me that I did it. I think we resellers are by nature giving people. Greedy people don’t last long at this game! I also think you are influencing me!! You’re such a sweet sweet person.

I’m 60 & have gone through several household clear-outs in the last year. I found that getting parents downsized or even cleaning up after they passed that it’s OVERWHELMING. Half the stuff tossed is stuff I would have picked. I do fairly well w/vintage clothing lately, even was contacted by some Hollywood costumers which was exciting for me!

I once found 2 Chanel ready to wear suit jackets within a week of each other at 2 separate Goodwills---but this was around 20 years ago before the Goodwills here in the Seattle-Tacoma area started posting stuff like that on their own website. I can't believe what great stuff you find in your area!

I definitely get what I call cart envy. Because it's hard for me not to notice what other people found before me and put in their carts! But like you I try to stay positive and think, good for them! I find good stuff too.

I have noticed other sellers are very selfish and are jealous and secretive around other sellers. WHY? We all have our good and not so great days! I had a killer day picking today. Some days not so much but it all works out. Great finds!! Woohoo!!! You go. My good day started with dumpster diving in recycle dumpsters behind a shopping mall for bubble wrap. Instead I found 13 rolls of good useable clear packing tape. FREE!!!!! That was a sign I was going to have good day picking! 😉

Love everything and love your doesn't matter the size if I like it I'll wear it attitude! Loved the "gold rush" term; I'd add "saloon"!

I enjoy your clothing hauls so much! I found a Johnny was in my thrift shop and I live in a tiny town in south Alabama!! How lucky was that!!! I love going everyday but most days I don’t find anything. But when I do it’s like Christmas!!!!!!!

Check the UNTUCKit jackets to see if they have working surgeon cuffs. If they do, it's a great selling feature - definitely key words you may want to consider using.

So at first I was jelly of your finds, but after the Johnny Was purse story, I turned that thought around and am so happy for you! It means better videos for us lol!! However, I’m still jealous of your meet up in PA, as I’m in IL! Love you and your videos!💕💕💕

Congrats Karen. I love Indian clothing. You need to check the old-timer's almanac see where the signs were at and always shop on that sign. We go by the signs down here in the south, we go by them for everything besides planting. oh yes, I love the jean dress.

oh boy can I relate to your gut feeling about going to a thrift store and that feeling doesn't go away so you go! ....... and that nano second of jealousy when someone finds something good. I have been selling on eBay since 1998 continuously, and those feelings never go away. Hugs to you!!
