This video was one of your best, you show you are true gentleman character to the ladies who were being verbally abused by that man at their yard sale. Thank you for that.

Be it known.....Florida is a gold mine for vintage flippers and flippers in general. So many retirees die and end up with homes full of stuff. My father passed in May, 2022 and I ended up taking so many boxes of very nice stuff to Goodwill and Salvation Army, etc. He lived in Venice, an hour south of Sarasota. They have more stuff from estates than they know what to do with. You have made a very wise decision!!

SUPER Haul!! What resellers like "that guy" don't seem to even be aware of. During a yard sale, you are being given an invitation and permission to go on to someone else's property. That can be rescinded at any time. Respect should always be first and foremost priority. As it should always be.......but we all know how that goes sometimes.

Wow, Paul, thanks for providing the backstory on that drama. That guy gives all resellers a bad name. They are totally in the right to not give the same deal. Great that you spoke to the lady and let her know that all of us are not like that. That is another reason that I enjoy your videos so much. Love the videos. Funny enough I asked a older lady if she had games the other day and she pulled out a in box nintendo 64 jungle green with 50 games that was her grandsons. Got really lucky and she charged me $50

Yes, if the guy was a Week late... that is his fault. They could have sold the diecast cars that week. To hold up the deal and then think you will get the same price and be RUDE. I would have told him... No sir.... you can just leave now.

Yup a week late is a no no but i think i heard them say "yesterday" so he was ONE DAY LATE Right ? One day late shouldn't change the price. Did she change the price out of spite that he didnt buy it "yesterday" ? Some people are busy. 1 day late is not very late. You think since he said he'll buy them all, she must of thot "hmm these must be worth money, let me look them up". Then she looked them up and raised the price after seeing theyre worth more ? If thats the case than no i think SHE would be wrong for listing something at a price then jacking up the price later. Thats a no no. They have all the time in the world to look them up BEFORE THEY LIST THEM and should NOT jack up prices. Im not sure the case but before opening your mouth and saying "il buy them all" signaling theyre resellers buying them, make sure you show up the SAME DAY or the seller will have time to realize you want all of them signalling her to look them up and realize theyre worth more then jacking up the price ? @@smerk429 if he was so concerned, he could’ve gotten a phone number or email and let them know he couldn’t make it & he would be there next day. Takes literally 10 seconds to text or email. They were nice, gave him a deal, had everything ready the day he was supposed to show up & nothing. Then he shows up and is loud & rude. Its a yard sale, not a business. Boo hoo he lost out on sales. Next time perhaps he’ll be more responsible and let someone know or put money down ahead of time for an arrangement. You snooze you lose.

I think I heard you say at the beginning of the video that these ladies lost their brother. I do estate sales in my area and I can tell you that having these items is the last link to their loved one. They want to sell and they don’t want to sell all in the same heartbeat. Sometimes you have to play psychologist. It can make for a very difficult day. You really handled yourself very well. I’ve noticed this beautiful patience with people in a lot of your videos. Stay true to yourself.

I was at my local flea market, and met an older Gentlemen who was selling his father's stuff. His father had pasted away several years ago and and they had been storing all his stuff every since and just now starting to sell it. They had been at the flea market the last two weekends with some new stuff each time and I had made a good repore with him and bought several things. When I guy like the one in your video show up and really starts to bully the guy. This was a nice old gentleman selling the stuff and I could tell he was quite intimidated and uncomfortable with this guy literally beating him down on prices. Now the prices were good enough to make some money off of from the start, I had just been cherry picking because at that time my budget / available cash was pretty low. Well the bully was buying the same things I would be interested in, so I butted in before he agreed to the 80% discount this bully was trying to get and told him not to drop his prices and I would pay the full amount for any of those times. The bully then came up on his offer quite a bit (still got it for a steal) but after that the gentleman and I stuck a deal. He called me to give first dibs on anything he was going to sell, and I pay the asking price with no hassle, if I didn't want it for the price he would take to the flea market. Like I said, his prices were good already and I got some great stuff and he didn't like to hassle, so it saved him from doing that. Got one of my best deals ever from him and really didn't know it until I sold it. Item I paid $20 (thinking it would be a $40-100 item) turns out is ultra rare and considered a Holy Grail to some collectors, sold for $980

Enjoy Florida, I grew up in Sarasota, now live in VA. You're going to like it, all those areas are great garage sales.

I get so many great deals on video games in charity shops. simply being polite to the old ladies that work there. And offering to help them if I see them struggling with a box or a bag.

I appreciate you show the good and the bad. That guy was out of line. Very entitled. You handled it like a pro.

Paul, as far as the interaction with sellers, that's a good lesson in life. I used to date a guy 20 years ago who had a bad reputation because he covertly got people to sell him items he could make beaucoup bucks on. It only take one bad experience to give anyone a 'bad taste in their mouths'. The drama was quite entertaining. Those podcast guys sure flick you .h.t! Anything for a laugh.

Ooooo that Pyrex. Snatch that up! Those printed Pyrex bowls can sell upwards of 100 per bowl. Especially that blue print. I’m jealous of whoever got it for $20 lol. That little yellow dish goes with the smaller red one. If u find the other two colors u have a set. They stack. Two rectangles on bottom like the yellow one and two smaller ones on top like the red one….and they have their lids! Don’t leave that lol.

Wow… I just bought out a storage unit 2 weeks ago from a woman who’s brother passed away. Full of Transformers, vintage 80’s toys, Japan imports and vacuum parts. Tons of DVDs and WCW cars on card…. Wouldn’t it be a small world? I thought she said she lived in northern NY though.

Always nice when you get lucky with a comp that is actually low for what you end up buying! Also, so sad to see people act that way. Even if the ladies were completely in the wrong (not saying they are at all just saying worst case scenario) you still don't get to treat people that way. That guy was way out of line.

Sarasota?!! Why? I was born there, grew up in Bradenton and at 52 I live in Lakeland. Most people I grew up with have all escaped. There truly is no prettier beaches but the traffic is miserable, the drugs and gangs are skyrocketing. Anna Maria is probably the prettiest. I wish you luck.

I have family still there but they still live there because they are either the police or they are my family from Jersey. 🤔 ...and I think all live more Lakewood Ranch which was cow pastures and considered the boon dicks while I was growing up. Anyway, hope its a good move for you.

I live in Florida…been here since 1987 but grew up in PA. I had to laugh at your comment “ No history down there” when talking about Florida. We have a ton of history and I resell vintage items…they are a plenty. FYI St. Augustine, FL is the oldest city in the US and established 1565. It was settled 55 years before the Pilgrims and the Mayflower in 1620. Also a very rich Native American history here too. Many small old towns to visit. Not just beaches & theme parks in the state.

some resellers loses respect they feel they are doing the sellers favor for buying their stuff they forgot that sellers have the right to price their own stuff, some of them even put their faces in you tube and says alot of bad things about them if prices are high, must always respect others, if prices are high move on to other sales

I've been buying and selling for nearly 30 years and you have to just nip it in the bud. I usualy say I don't hold anything. Or a specific time like till end of day and after that all deals are off. I actually had one yesterday that said I'll be back in a little while and the next guy to him bought it then he said I just told you I would be back in a little while. SO I asked him and what did i tell you when you said that. He looked confused and He said I didn't answer him so there was no deal or that I would hold it for him and I said exactly I don't sell held items I sell items that people pay for. Thats how I stay in business. Sorry. Plus don't go to freaking yard sale and estate sales without money and if you run out that's on you not the seller. Sorry.
