Brad: This will be close Narrator: It was not close
Bad miss from Mark on the plum question, blue is NOT a secondary colour, it’s a primary colour!
When it came to the team’s set, Chris showcased the power of having a quiz writer on the team, because they tend to know what the end of the question is going to be before Brad’s even finished it, so they can jump in and intercept. And those interceptions add up over the two minutes and allow for another two or three questions to be asked, that’s the difference between the high teens and the low 20s in a final chase.
Very entertaining final chase. I thought their easy misses were gonna cost them. Love Mark’s “best Chaser gets the best teams” 😂😂😂

Je and Jenny are now within 0.1% of each other at 79.9% and 79.8%.Anne and Paul are 2% behind then Darragh is another 2% back and, no surprise to me that Sean is on 70%(this week's repeat saw him fail to get 14). Sport, Dates and History, and, obviously, Law are his Subjects but away from that he struggles.
"Spaghetti"😂 how many "oh no"s did the Beast mutter😂😂
Congratulations team your where brilliant and deserve every penny hard luck Mark
1:15 I like it when Bradley Walsh said Bee Gees.

I recently saw The Chase stats and everyone is where I thought they would be, based on regular viewing. Mark and Jenny are now within 0.1% of each other at 79.9% and 79.8%. Cmon beastie boy I knew more of those and I'm not a quizzer 😂

@@Wheeloffortunefan999 I believe you, my friend. I shared YOUR own amusement that you got it correctly from The US when the question was quite obscure.

Fortune Cookies are technically Asian but actually American. As it is long believed they were created by an Asian person in San Francisco! So technically not Asian.
It is a few years since I have watched The Chase. The chasers used to be very difficult to beat. What’s happened? Are they playing dumb?

Around 2019/2020, everyone started collectively spotting the clues in the questions. Even if you weren’t particularly a good quizzer, you could still build a good target in the final just by using several default guesses when certain topics come up in the question. To remedy this, they changed the questions so the obvious answer doesn’t come up as much anymore, so you actually have to be good at quizzes to beat a chaser now. But then they have to balance it out the other way so the chasers don’t win all the time, so the questions are now asked at a slower pace than in previous series. I think overall, the win rate is still about the same as previous series, they always like to have one win per week.

@@Harvey1211 I think if a team is good and they execute a couple of pushbacks, they may tend to play dumb. There's no way the show would've kept going for so long without a couple of wins from the people. Also, the chasers have been doing this for so long that they have gained so much knowledge that if everything was constant only a tiny portion of quizzers could beat them.

@@antonygitonga2137 it’s very difficult to pretend to not know something. The fans are smart enough they they will pick up on something if it’s fixed and the chasers aren’t performing optimally and at their best, and they have accused the show of being fixed multiple times. However, if it was, there could be a legal matter on the producer’s hands and they certainly don’t want that. I mean, fair enough if there’s 16 seconds remaining and 10 to catch, a chaser will probably give up and sit back haha.

@@Harvey1211 Perhaps not losing on purpose because they must keep their win percentage high. Based on my own experience, I've sometimes stalled on somethings I'm good at to give myself a challenge to see if I can come back and win. So, I'm guessing they might stall and see if they can make 15 to go in under 30 seconds.

@@antonygitonga2137 when you say you’ve stalled to try and challenge yourself, what sort of things have you attempted to do that with? That sounds quite interesting.
