Problem almost like mine. Use to play this from 2007-2011 all the time. Now when I try it years later car change lane ultra quick or just stop in the middle of the road. I think it started when I fiddled with the online profile to make it playable in hardcore offline (profile copy). But I don't know, could also be my GTX 780-card. Only solution maybe to remove all traffic.

hello i have experienced the same problem exactly like you and what was the solution for me is to limit the fps from normal on my pc(120 fps+-) to 50 using the "fps limiter" you can download it from filestube search fps limiter 2.0 and you will find it (download it and use it on your own risk) i tested it while i was doing the 1hour 60minutes 123MI "race time" and no invisible cops anymore, BTW i won that "time race" for the first time(i even don't know that road track)!

@f0u well then im sorry that is my only known solution for the problem. anyway you can wait for TDU2 it should be released in a couple of monthes from now maybe september 2010

I have the same problem; was using windows 7 64bit with a Core 2 Duo : everything was fine; changed hardware to Core i5 Ivy bridge and reinstalled 7 64bit : suddently I have problems starting the game, drivers change lane erratically when I approach them and they sometimes stop; I run in invisible cars etc... Also, my shifting (manual) has become shitty : I have to hit the key either 1, 2 or 3 times for it do to something.

turn on vsync in for the game, set it to adaptive ....nvidia control panel > manage 3D settings > program settings> select program (test drive unlimited) > vertical sync > Adaptive.

anybody fixed it yet?

+Al Kaholic Yes, Download a patch for Online racing and start launcher so you see FPS. Make sure you use Vsync = On, so it will be 60fps. Worked for me. Now I must buy a new set of FFB Wheels!

+Thiago Fogaça Use FPS limiter 0.2, it works like a charm in that system. I can enjoy the highways of Hawaii yet again with that tool.

I tried using FPS limiter with 90, 50 and 30 as max fps. Neither made any difference whatsoever. Any idea why it won't work for me?

i think its gpu related problem, game doesnt work well on ati
