It was not. It was barely an improvement to tdu1 , lesser cars, whack online functions, way lesser mission types and this driver licenses were just horrifying, not to mention this shitty "solar crown" story. Graphics btw were also not that much better then tdu 1. But I loved it for Ibiza and the mansions

Not only are car details superior in tdu2, the game overall is better. Buying properties you can actually explore in first person, checking out your cars in your physical garage, decorating your place. Makes you feel like you exist in the game world. And there is actual progression.

That's what i always liked about both tdu 1 and 2, to compare it's more like gta that is focused much more to cars; tbh i wouldn't really appreciate tdu series for its driving experience, i don't really have good memories with its driving physics, but its social interactions were something that i always loved, which most openworld racing games lacked. Everyone seemed to like something like forza horizon or the crew more but tdu will always hold special place in my heart.

l remember playing TDU2 many days back in 2011, great experience

I used to love TDU1 and TDU2 back in the day, fantastic games and I think they are the spiritual ancestors of the Horizon games. They have several many nice features and details, but the driving physics are atrocious, especially on off-road.

больше всего тду2 подкупает, как мне кажется, ощущение управления реальным автомобилем(хоть физика и говнистая), но все остальное, звуки, ощущение «веса автомобиля», проработка салона и остальное на высочайшем уровне

TDU2 was so ahead of its time and was one of my most favourite game in my childhood and its sad that it was underrated and didnt get as much attention as it deserved.

Loved both tdu 1 & 2, while im not excited about the hong kong setting, im still looking forward to SC. Just hoping the social amd lifestyle side of things is still somewhat of a focus with buying and decorating homes, garages, clothes stores, barbers etc...

My understanding is that TDU-SC will not have houses. Instead, it will have a skyscraper apartment condominium building in which players will be able to own condominium residences.

TDU2 is my favourite and most memorable racing game ever, probably followed The Crew 1. Fantastic memorable moments with great friends. ..and they use to say gaming is antisocial😂

Even TDU was many times better than even the newest Forza Horizon due to creativity, and just overall, the map is so much more fun. Not to mention the seamless server transfer. You could see vehicles from many servers on the map of TDU and simply fast travel down to then be driving with any of the seeable cars from whatever server. On Forza Horizon you have to have this huge server transfer to go to a new server and it sucks and takes away from the open world feel

What's really unfortunate is that FH4 didn't have this issue. It was common to open the map and see players gathering in different areas. They totally screwed it up with the multiple servers FH5 has.

When i played this game ten years earlier i was driving on my Wheel a lot and cruising with subaru around both of islands to only chill out and listen this sound of unequal length exhaust

The glowing brake disc detail was first seen in early 2000s late 90s racing games. I noticed Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec had the glowing brake discs effect when you braked hard at fast speeds in the game.

I liked the video without even watching it cause I knew where this was going…..and just at the first comparison you can also hear how good tdu 2 Is respect to fh5 just from the sound of the car….same car different sound, better sound in a 12 years old game….. 2:54 every single car has its own custom speedometer in third person in tdu2, they designed a different speedometer for each car

While the physics of TDU are janky, they nailed the car detail fantastically, which makes sense because the series is all about car collecting simulation more than racing. I have high hopes of what Solar Crown will bring to the table, as the driving physics got better. I tried the game again, and boy I am wrong. The physics are still off at times, but struggling with the controls are fun and frustration.

This is why I am hype for the new TD.

Inmediate difference I notice: engine sounds DO have BASS frequencies in TDU 2.

That Suburu sounded so guttural. Definitely miss that. Alot of games sound like vacuums now.

TDU2 is a textbook example of quality over quantity. Even its radiostations - all two of them - feel like actual radiostations, with hosts, commercials and variety of great music that fits the theme of Ibiza/Hawaii.

If TDU2 had actual good physics, It would've been a perfect game.

The damage details we can kind of ignore as car manufactures don't want their cars appear damaged in game. You can see this in many racing sims as well, like Project Cars or Assetto Corsa. The mechanical damage is there, but only minor cosmetic damage. Also convertible is a joke in FH5. They advertise it as a new breakthrough function, yet years in the function doesn't work properly. The only thing still keeps me with FH5 is the driving physics. It fells superior to every open world racing game I've ever played, be it TDU or Need For Speed. You fell like you're driving an actual car, and the force feedback with steering wheel is very satisfying. TDU physics is nice until you push the car to the limit, then things start to go haywire, especially with late game super and hyper cars

Im surprised you dont have much views as I expected, your videos are much better than the ones that does "graphics comparison" videos. People wont go into details like this, they just wanted the game look good, just like as shallow as guys choose what girl they like, all based on looks. I mean just look at FH5's launch, sooo buggyyy, some youtuber called it "almost a masterpiece" when to me its a graphics simp paradise.

TDU 1 and TDU 2 were amazing games and can't wait for solar crown as of the comparisons it kinda shows off that a company (Microsoft/Xbox) with all this money they have and lack in many ways for games in terms of quality.

TDU/TDU2 have a lot of details that help to the realistic feel, specially the FPS on foot gameplay. The problem I had with TFU2 is the car controls/physics, like something is off/weird, and I ended up enjoying Forza Horizon (the first one) much more.

All the years ive played TDU 2 and I never noticed the rotors glow after heavy braking 🤯

El mejor juego que han hecho junto con Nfs underground 2, el forza horizon tambien es bueno pero no puede ser que no tenga los detalles que otros juegos viejos como TDU2 (detalles de los autos, comprar casas, comprar autos en las agencias) y NFS undergroud 2 (modificar coches a detalle con sonido, etc), cuando le van a dedicar tiempo para hacer el juego perfecto de carros

TDU is the proof that physics don't define a racing game

Forza is beautiful in terms of graphics and the vibe is great, but lacks the sense of progression.. and the map feels very boring. I wish they made games like back in NFS era where you start with a cheap car and work your way up to the exotics. That way at least there is some goal to follow.
