I think you timed the arrival to the fair perfectly. Get to the food concessions before the crowds arrive. Always expensive but it’s a part of going over there.

Hi Bill and Lisa, You need to jump on a plane and come to the Iowa State fair it runs Aug 10th thru 20th, 2023. it's a fun time!! It's usually beautiful weather and we have great food, lots of new foods and foods on a stick!! Plus, Iowa is number 1 in pork production, so you have to have a pork chop on a stick and our home-grown corn on the cob. You have to see our butter cow an Iowa State fair tradition. Come have fun lots to see and do.

What a nice fair with lots of yummy food. Thank you for showing us/taking us along with you. If you can make it, the State Fair of Texas starts Sept 29 thru Oct 22 in Dallas. State fairs are like Las Vegas, seem to get pricier every year but it's an experience. Sling shot ride. No way unless I want to make myself unalive.😅 Glad you were kidding about getting on it, especially after eating. The Tllt-a-Whirl was my fav ride back in the day. Would probably make me sick now as I haven't been on it in years. Bill is a time traveler. He came back from 2024. I knew it! 😂😂

i was there on Thursday at 1pm 😊 had fun. had a $16 chimmango soft serve swirl. oh man, after watching the foods, i gotta go again !! ❤ if you stay long enough to see a concert (free admission to the fair with concert tix) once the sun goes down it gets real chilly!!

What I noticed about the food and drinks was the huge portions. So it seems like if you visit the fair with 3 or more people, you really only have to order one of any item and share it with the group. I was thinking as I watched you eat, if Leslie had been with you guys it could be split among you. That cinnamon roll had my name on it!😋

Hi Bill and Lisa! This was fun to watch esp. on unlimited ride day. I have not been to fair here in San Diego since it opened back up…last couple of years they had limited entry. This was first year it has reopened fully. And the food I look forward to is the Australian Poatoes loaded…absolutely fried and lathered with the works. But OC seems to have more food choices…like the churro funnel cake. Look at the Gelato Milkshakes!😂 Nice to see you both enjoying the fair. Thanks for sharing!

We've never been to the SD Fair so not sure how it stacks up to the OC one. We can tell you there's plenty of eating options at the OC Fair, we just barely scratched the surface. lol Thanks for watching!

Good morning Bill and Lisa. Thank you for taking us to the OC FAIR. That Chuck wagon BBQ, and the Australian Battered Potatoes looked sooo yummy. I love the fair. The ride that launches you straight up high; you couldn't pay me to get on. Lol. I had to laugh when Bill said he bought you both tickets you flat out said No! Soooo much to do. The little piglets were sooo cute and those Longhorn cattle were amazing. Bill is a brave soul with his Captain Crunch burger. It's a novelty item; FAIR FOOD! The cinnamon roll looked really good. It's still a little over an hour to get from the Torrance area to Costa Mesa but sooo worth it. I couldn't believe the OC FAIR a PINK'S.I love PINK'S. So iconic. Loved this video. I haven't been to the Fare for a lot of years. That Pineapple Chicken at Chicken Charlie's really looked awesome. ❤❤❤

Very good, remember my mom would drop us off there. And we would go meet our puppy love girls age 10 and then around 1 dollar for food and remember 50 cents to get in. We had to be real men and ride the zipper to impress the girls. Priceless

Should check out the CA State fair in Sacramento. Open everyday.. lots of cool restaurants in the area too.

You need to come to the Texas State Fair in Dallas. Starts in September 29 through October 22, open daily!

In Australia, we call the battered potatoes “potato scallops”. But we don’t put topping in them, just salt or chicken salt. We buy them at the fish and chip shops 💗

I loved all the food , I would have been going on some rides and playing a few games : ) glad you both enjoyed yourself..

You should do the state fair in Sacramento. They are open every day of the week.

I When I lived in California I went to The Del Mar fair, which is now San Diego fair. It was fun, I rode a few rides, yet I don't remember what I ate. In Northern California every September they had a weekend country fair in Bonneville and a small parade. There were maybe 7 rides, a rodeo, an animal section, some food maybe 4 places, and a judging of produce ,pies ,etc. It wasn't too exciting. It was always very Hot, being inland. I lived 1 hr away. Where I'm from we have lots od small- medium country fairs in The Fall. There is a very large one in Massachusetts The big E ,it last a few wks. or more. Take care.

My cousin Sharleen lives in Orange County, but for my entire life until last fall I thought the OC was short for "The Ocean"!😥😥😥😆

I’ve done the sling shot ride at six flags, I’m more iffy when it comes to rides at fairs. Too sketchy for me, also love that you kept the 2024 clip in the video 😂

Thanks so much for the Super Thanks and supporting our channel, Patricia!! I was looking at that sling shot setup, looked like it had 4 redundancy bungee/cables on each side, plus extra supports at the base. I'm no expert in sling shot design, but seeing the backup system made me feel better. Yup, had to keep that outtake in, too funny! lol
