My father taught me the lesson you have learned. When you take kids/family fishing, you take them fishing and you don’t fish at all. The point is for them to have a blast, and you are nailing it.!!!! ❤❤❤❤

This was text book family fishing trip. I laughed so hard when you said "we need to regroup" and court replied "I did my part!" hahaha hilarious!

Following the videos, Analise has had quite the fishing evolution. A while ago, she was a disinterested beachcomber and now putting fish in the boat (dinner on the table). Good family time together.

You need to get Miss Annalise to hold the rod handle in front of the reel, not on the 'trigger', when she's reeling in a fish. It provides a lot more leverage for a young wrist! I saw her favoring her left wrist after that drum. This will help her with that. 👍 Been watching yer channel for nearly its entire existence!

Ive fished for specs since I was 6, that is 61 years. Trout have soft, easy-to- tear mouths. I've found a soft hook set works better than a normal set, for say, a red fish. I've lost them setting hard.

It depends. And some states don’t allow it. It’s legal in AL.

Do they make a closed faced reel? I had to throw out three band new rods, the day after taking my kids fishing in the ocean.

It feels good when our kid is the reason we eat dinner lol atleast for me when I don’t have to do any work

I'm not at all upset about this or anything, but, I was wondering if you were aware of how this video ends? I thought I was going crazy, I must have rewatched it about 5 times (and I wasn't alone)! It just ends abruptly. There is no closing whatsoever that we're used to seeing. Great video though, my wife and I always enjoy the videos when you have your wife and daughter along with you. Those are our favorites! Appreciate what you do Matt. GOD BLESS!

Ok, bro, I love following you and watching the adventures you have with your family… but I have a complaint, my complaint is about the rod combo that you are making Annalise use. I’ll be honest with you, that part of the video where she caught that black drum and she said her arms are tired? That wasn’t her arms, that was her wrist hurting (you can see her move it around in the video) because she has NO place to anchor that butt of the rod too. That means she was just fighting that fish with nothing but her wrist. I’m going to check out your website and find a rod and reel for her and I will personally buy her one that will let her enjoy fishing. You know what it’s like fighting a “BIG” fish, to her everything will feel big on that rod. I bought my daughters that same combo that you are letting your wife use and they love it. Anyways, I don’t mean to tell you how to do things, but bro, let’s make it more enjoyable by having the right gear.
