The colonial masters did that only in their colonies and not in their countries. A judge or minister in Ghana has a cook, house boy, driver, butler, messenger, which are all burden on the economy. All should be banned

Ivan, BOG needs to come clean on the remittances loophole and close it permanently. World bank figures are correct because it’s coming from the SWIFT Financial System totals. This are foreign exchange that should have cushion our balance of payments situation. BOG Should come out policy to control and manage the emergence of other financial ecosystems and platforms to safeguard our remittances to benefit the economy. India is raking in 120B annually through remittances from its nationals abroad and this has become a source of foreign exchange on their balance sheet.
