It's insane to see how well this team has gelled with adding pieces that aren't normally playing together. Just goes to show how skillful and understanding each player is of their role. Thank you for recognizing that! It’s very easy to just see how amazing Jalen is especially since he was the best hitter at this tournament. But, you still can’t win with just one person. It helped a lot that the three CSUN players have very similar work ethic as our other Tall Ones members, and are all around very solid players. Combine that with a foundation of the rest of us Tall Ones members who’ve been playing together for many years who also share that same work ethic. It just goes to show that if you put the team first, you can accomplish great things together. I’m proud to say that there were no egos on this team.

Yea Donovan our setter is phenomenal!! Not only is he one of the best athletes on the court, he has very disciplined, footwork and intelligent and deceptive decision-making

So many things to love about this edition of the Tall Ones; e.g., * Positive mentality. #98 gets blocked, turns away with a smile like "I'm gonna learn from this time," and converts the next one. * Setter #97 = pure assassin, with just enough flex to pump up the team and himself, but not p*** off the opponent. * True team, everyone contributes to points, everyone takes ownership of errors. * What a poetic encapsulation of the Tall Ones ethos that [spoiler] match point is Coach Donny wiping off the double block. :)

Setter on the opposing team was probably back row. Back row player's can't block the hit.

Maybe don't edit the zoomed in screen to follow the ball, it's not a good visual, too harsh on the eye. ppl get the same ick from those VNL videos with the same thing LOL On the contrary, zooming back out to the full court from a zoomed in view of the player/ball contact would be very easy on the eye.

So is it normal in these tournaments for the libero to serve??
