CRAZIEST STRONGMAN EVENT EVER? Atlas Stone PRESS!

Спорт

The UNKNOWN EVENT at Europe's Strongest Man 2020- the overhead stone press!
This 100KG Atlas Stone must be pressed overhead as many times as possible in 75 seconds. A 100KG press is nothing for these guys, but the stone is awkward and slippy- this could go down as one of the craziest events we've ever seen at GIANTS LIVE!

"there are varying degrees of danger, fool." At what percent of this "varying degree" is it acceptable to complete it? Atlas-stones overhead has been used in many many competitions before, but apparently this is the first time youve seen it.. So you scream "danger danger, please stop it" like a wuss. "Maybe they can show how agile they are by attempting to catch bullets fired at them from a sniper rifle" Dont see what that ridiculous comparison have to do with strongman.. Since strongman is not about agility but... wait for it... being strong.

I'm assuming they got the idea from the Arnold Strongman Classic 2020, however those stones were not perfectly round Atlas Stones. Those stones were smaller & had a somewhat flat bottom so they could rest firmly on the top of the chest & it helped with the press as well. While the idea of this event was good, I can't see it being an event that'll stick around. At the very least, the stones require a somewhat flat bottom so the athletes can get a firm grip when pressing overhead.
