Спорт
#motocross
This Week in MXA, episode 186, presented by O’Neal, follows Josh Mosiman through the RedBud National where Josh crashed on Larocco’s Leap during press day and ended up with a concussion and a broken collarbone. Thankfully, we had a big crew representing MXA at RedBud with Dennis Stapleton, Josh Fout and the Bushnell family all racing amateur day. This video shows the mental challenges of racing at the highest level.

No reason to be embarrassed Josh. None of us mortals would even attempt the Leap. Rest up and heal up! Love your videos with MXA!

I mean I would, but I already have a plate in one collar bone and would love a matching set
None of us in the comment section would have the balls to hit the leap, you’re an animal 🤘🏼

@SupervisorJimLahey yeah , probably not. Have you ever seen the leap in person?
You leaped it man. Got the collarbone to prove it.
You are my #1 favorite motocross test pilot and a great asset for MXA. You have balls of steel!
I'm a little bit teary watching this because Josh is such a good human being, and it's hard to see him having a hard time. Congrats to you, Josh, for accomplishing so much, and always striving for more!
Man the "woo..redbud" as you walked out of the hospital was hilarious. Glad you're okay.
I was right there my man I was just glad when you got up , best of luck heal fast , tks mxa
Was not looking forward to seeing Josh get smoked on the Leap, but no one will ever say the MXA Wrecking Crew doesn't give it 100%. Heal up, Josh!
Another collar bone sacrificed to the mx gods Josh, I gave mine 3 years ago. Speedy recovery to you dude.

Josh, You are a warrior! Glad that it’s „only” a collarbone and You will be back at the bike in a no time. You got really unlucky on that jump. Heal up, rest well and I hope that we will see more Nationals attempts from You next year. 🙏🏻🙌🏻
Sure love your content! Love that you are willing to put yourself out there when you make mistakes. Also, the large majority of us watching this wouldn’t attempt that or would attempt it and end up a lot worse than you. Keep up the great content!
You've been a racer 3/4 of ur life. You KNOW there's no need for embarrassment Josh. Glad your gonna b just fine 💪.. Keep being you Buddy 👊. Much Respect ✌️😉
You're a beast Josh, nothing to be ashamed about speedy recovery bro get em next year🙏🔥
Man what a bummer. Keep your head up we all respect you very much and appreciate how you help us all. Heal up quickly buddy

Josh, I saw the crash on TV but never new you were hurt. Sorry bud try to keep your chin up. Rooting for you. Love your content at MXA
Hope you heal up soon Josh. People like you and Jody are the reason I have been buying mxa since 1973.
Heal up quick Josh 💪🏻 Personally i blame Chase ..
Sorry for your crash.....prayers to you and a fast recovery
You had balls enough to Go for it that's a badge of honor bro those broken bones are stripes 💪
It’s nothing to be embarrassed about man! You took a risk most people wont. Get better soon Josh!
the flagger should always be able to see both sides of any jump where the rider cannot see the landing. Feld is responsible for the safety of the riders. if the flagger has to run 50' to make the yellow visible, that is too much time to be of any use. get it together guys!

We all have and sooner than later we all will have a gnarly get off. But most of us can’t say that gnarly get off was on the infamous lorraco’s leap. No shame in that my guy.
That Chris Cole must be one hell of a nice guy picking you up at the hospital.
Actually you are my #1 KZread star. Whatever you say about a motocross bike I believe. You should do a you tube series on how much it fing sucks to be an injured athlete. The other side of ride
Speedy recovery Josh! We already miss you! take care and all the best!
Happy your safe brother! Not a dam thing to be embarrassed about! 99% of us have come up short at some point in our riding careers! Get well soon brother!
This is real world moto. You took it like a true moto warrior. Glad you are oaky.
Sorry to see you have to go through that this summer. I broke my left collarbone 6 times.🤣🇺🇸
I almost always watch you Josh. Now I ALWAYS will.
Ma names Josh mosiman and welcome to red bud! this was a scary one to watch but a great insight for us mere mortals... Successful people fail often josh, glad you walked out of there.
What are you embarrassed about?? Mossiman sending it!!!
Sorry you got hurt and happy it wasn't worse! I also heard AP hits in 2nd, again I'm sure they are using full custom transmissions.

Yeah Sexton told him he did it 2nd, but that's no normal bike doing that jump in 2nd lol
Get well soon, Josh. Sucks it went down that way! I'm glad your marble mostly got found.
Total respect. Heal up, keep up the good work. We need you out there .
Get well man! Thanks for all the great content!!!
Praying for you to have a speedy recovery. Love your content so hang in there bud.
That sucks on the injury man. Heal up and come back. LOVE the videos at the Nationals, keep it up!!! - Best wishes from New Zealand.
Hoope you feel better soon Josh! Thanks for all the content you create!
Warrior! Be proud Josh.
Fully sent! Braaaaaapppp
🇺🇸 AUTHENTIC 🏁
Damn, that shoulder looks gnarly... I hope it heals up good. Hey, so many people have come up short on that jump... you are a great rider and I'm sure you can do it, if you ever want to give it another try. Thanks for the excellent and honest content. Hope to see you racing more nationals. PS: Good luck with the wife.
Do not feel like you have any reason to be embarrassed. That Leap is huge and only about a quarter of the 450 guys jumped it on race day. You are an elite rider and was giving it hell !! Great respect for you !
Huge props. Heal well. Love your content!
go big or go to the hospital, I guess. you're a good sport Josh. I look forward to more when you're feeling better. cheers.
Thanks for the great video and speedy recovery to you. Collar bones heal but pay attention to the concussions man, they are more serious than many believe or know. Be well!
Just broke mine Sunday, same side as yours. I go see a surgeon Thursday. Had to have my buddy take me to the hospital, cut our ride short. Only 4 laps in. I hope these heal up quick.
Glad you tried to send it man hope you bounce back better than ever
The “red bud” coming out of the ER 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well done josh takes balls to do what your doing awesome video
Wide open it was not...and it showed. 😢 I can't jump a wheelbarrow so I got no room to say anything. Takes big nuggets to throw a bike off that big a jump. Big props to the 250 guys who sent it.
AH TOTAL BUMMER JOSH - GET HEALED UP SOON BUDDY ;LOVING ALL THE COVERAGE ,MXA IS THE BEST MUCH LOVE MAD PROF UK MASSIVE
Get well soon from me in Scotland. Been an MXA fan since 1979 - and your videos and bike reviews are brilliant - all the best
So gnarly Josh!
Nothing more real in motocross than crashing. Heal up, glad you walked away.
Josh, you are a stud! You had the nads to try it. Next time!
Just glad ur ok Josh!
Dude just being able to have the chance to qualify for one of these races is a big deal. Hitting and clearing Larocco's leap is another deal all together man , hang in there and heal up quick and get back on your bike and do what you love to do !!
I'd have to think twice about hiking that sucker. No shame, buddy. My dad's a pilot, and like so many, he always told me any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. Get well soon.
Back in the early 1980s i.used to smash into the face of the upper part. I was on a 125 then 250,I never really thought about clearing it. It was quite different then this now. Heal up Josh man you were literally about 2 feet away. You do a great job for MXA buddy.
Anybody who jumps larocco's leap deserves a trophy that's a badass jump hang in there bro !
Josh get better. That sucks it happened to a great rider. That jump is huge but hey. It’s not for everybody. Hopefully in the future you can post a video of you clearing it. Keep up good spirits.
It’s all Sexton’s fault!

Had the salt …just not enough pepper! ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽…you’re a beast!
I'm lying in bed watching, icing my shoulder after I broke my collarbone 2 weeks ago. I feel your pain man. Hope you get surgery quick if you need it! Yours looks worse than mine did on the X-ray.
Speedy recovery Josh!
Get well soon! Love your content!
People dont realize that you cant see the landing when your jumping laroccos leap. You just have to have faith your speed is right and send it. Josh you soaked up the initial landing pretty well, its unfortunate you got kicked over the bars. I basically broke my collar collar bone the same way, on a jump half that size. I feel your pain but theres no shame, your still a much better rider then most of us.
We were next to you (and two other MXA fellas) at the baggage carrousels at Midway on Tuesday, July 2 - we were on the same flight from San Daygo. Glad your gear made it - some of ours ended up in NY... I hope you heal up soon!

Glad you’re ok. Not to be comparing my deal to yours, but i am sitting here with 2 broken ribs and a busted spleen, and no telling how long i was out, cause i just cant keep my 2023 300xc from randomly bogging and it wrecked me on a small double. 25 years with ktm, i am about for the first time headed for MXA’s blessed bike, yz450(maybe yaz250 2t). I am biting at the bit to get back on a bike but at 2 weeks post injury i may take one more week….lol i can only imagine what you will experience in the weeks to come as you heal. I really enjoy your vids bro.. stay on yamaha.
I wish you a speedy recovery Josh!
Hey Josh, it could've been a lot worse. You're doing a great job and you'll be back in the saddle soon!
Hang in there , absolutely nothing to be embarrassed of . Heal up and gather all your “Marbles “ 👍
The landing of Larocco’s Leap is now know as the Mosiman Mash. :-) Hope you heal up real fast and feel better soon.
Man that was a rough one. Glad you got out of it with the little damage you had.
Heal up quick bro! Your all in! ;)
race offroad, way more fun and no big jumps to case. I'll take the woods over MX any day. However I do love watching MX on TV
Dude collarbone plates are amazing. You'll be riding in 2-3 weeks!
Don’t worry Josh I once cased a single we’ve all been there
Youve got balls dont be embarassed dude. Just means you push yourself hard and are a competitive guy. Heal up man
Jeremy is such a stand up guy and I honestly can't say enough good things about MX Tech. I'm hoping to get some feedback. Don't get me wrong. That's a monster drop, but did anybody else think that shock didn't work as good as expected?
At least you got it on tape will be a great story one day
Glad you're ok Josh!
Yeahhh Buddyyyyyy
Hang tough Josh! You sent it!!!!
At least you went for it , if I saw that thing I would do a u-turn . Hope you’re better soon !
Great video
That blows man! I was hoping to see you at washougal.
Feel better Josh!
It takes some balls to even try to jump it! You ride very very good and this is a risk all riders take. Hope you heal up soon :D
Dang Josh, Godspeed healing up. The Leap claims another good rider.
I broke my wrist in January tipping over trying to climb out of a wash. I rode my bike for the first time last weekend and i was still brutal with every bump. Hope you feel better soon
Great content as usual. Sorry you have to recover, you'll be back soon.
Damn Josh. I hope you have a speedy recovery. That sucks. You don’t need to jump LaRoccos Leap to prove you’re cool. 🤙✌️
Great effort mate. There’s always next year.
Praying for a quick recovery. God bless.
Bummer. I first saw it when Matt Burkeen got the aftermath of the case. Get well soon.
Nothing to be embarrassed about Josh!!! See you at GH for Sat MX when you are all healed up. Until then, heal up.
