That show won't ever happen again. We were in a car show of nearly 1000 cars two weeks ago.....and they raised $43,000. and not one shot fired, not one fight, not one burn out, nothing. Everyone was there for a good time, good music, good food, and to show off their rides and rais money for charity. People make the choice of either being respectful and decent or acting like animals and ruining events. I'm glad I live where I do.

As someone who used to live there, Detroit's gun laws are not very strict. Not when compared to Chicago, NYC, LA etc. Michigan has always been pretty pro gun. However I know for a fact that there were a lot of firearms at this event and I also know the vast majority of them were illegal and being carried by felons.

I don't see any cars that would be worthy of being in a car show here.

Move the “Car Show” off the public streets. Pick a racetrack if available, or even a park. Make it a public event, have food trucks and police. Have a safe area for racing or burnouts, give out prizes. If the city puts in the effort to make it a more respectable venue, the participants will become more respectable too.

You can't have that many ninjas like that in one place they shut down everything.

We have to stop having these events since people don’t behave anymore. Certain people, groups seem to ruin it for everybody because they don’t know how to respect or behave.

It’s a Detroit what would you expect? In Chicago so far 40 people shot nine dead so far, what would you expect it’s Chicago. Somethings are inevitable, gunfire stupidity and fights. At least it keeps the newspaper and television stations busy and people employed. The best job to have this time of the year in a big city is being an undertaker especially in Chicago.
