My is the 2004 subaru version for gravel and snow and the 2003 version for tarmac

I cannot believe how Solbergs car missed those 2 guys on the right. It bounced over them at the PERFECT angle. 1 in a million!

I had never seen that angle of the Solberg/Subaru crash. I didn't realize they were that close to actually hitting and injuring someone! Fortunately they didn't from what I heard.

@@zwjna habían más marcas, más coches y pilotos... y en cada rally aspiraban a la victoria 10 pilotos. Solo tienes que ver los campeones del mundo que corrían y los que ay ahora... 1? 2? xD

@@cristobalescuderoblaya1404 Loeb arrasó en ese 2005; y aparte de él, solo Gronholm y Solberg ganaron un rally - si no contamos a Duval, quien ganó en Australia por el abandono de los otros tres. El resto de pilotos o tenían autos muy malos, o competían solo unos pocos rallies, o directamente eran muy lentos. Por lo que solo unos pocos pilotos aspiraban a la victoria. Algunos de los años anteriores fueron mejores en cuanto a variedad de ganadores, pero también habían más diferencias en el rendimiento de los autos (cosa que no me gusta para nada) y estos eran menos fiables. Por eso mismo antes habían más campeones, pero las temporadas eran generalmente un desastre. Solo hay que ver la competencia que tuvieron pilotos como McRae, Sainz o Burns al obtener sus campeonatos mundiales; hay que ver las tablas de resultados finales de cada año en Wikipedia, que son lamentables: las de 1990 y 1992 (cuando Sainz consiguió sus campeonatos) están prácticamente vacías, pues fueron pocos los pilotos que competían en la mayoría de pruebas de la temporada. La batalla entonces fué solo entre Sainz, Kankkunen, y Auriol; y en 1990 Sainz corrió más rallies que los otros dos. La de 2001 (cuando Burns consiguió su único campeonato) está infestada de cuadraditos morados "RET", que indica que el piloto se retiró en ese rally. Pasa algo similar con los campeonatos de Mäkinen, Gronholm, y Solberg. [Todos ellos son excelentes pilotos, desde ya.] El campeonato siempre tuvo y tendrá rachas de buenas y malas temporadas, pero tengo claro que la era 2017-2021 fué excelente, y que la nueva era Rally1 iniciada este año, una vez se estabilice, será muy buena también. Desde 2017 hasta 2021 hubieron muchos ganadores de rallies, con autos de rendimiento similar y menos abandonos injustos. Y en esta era Rally1, si se solucionan los problemas de fiabilidad y de rendimiento, tendremos a Rovanperä, Tänak, Neuville, Evans, Ogier (que parece que quiere volver a tiempo completo) o Lappi (si le dan un asiento para toda la temporada) luchando por el campeonato. Y si bien antes habían más marcas, ninguna veía el éxito a medio plazo y se terminaron yendo todas como consecuencia, una a una. Mientras, habían excelentes pilotos con autos de merda. Prefiero mil veces tener solo tres marcas con rendimiento similar y que le den asientos a varios pilotos.

@@zwjna vaya repaso jajaja yo echo en falta esa temporadas 2001 hasta mas o menos 2005. Corrían excelentes pilotos, sea como sea eran todos unos campeones. Cierto es que habian muchas retiradas pero los rallys también eran mas largos. La variedad de coches y pilotos no solo el wrc... el rugido de los s1600 era descomunal. Esa época personalmente para mi fue la mejor! Debut de Citroen.. la primera que fue con Puras en Corcega.. ese rally de Kenia que acababan pocos coches... No solo del mundial, en el nacional y aqui en Catalunya con el regional, también habían mas pilotos expertos y buenas monturas. Los wrc+ fueron una pasada, creo que mas que los GrB, pero habían poquitas unidades y la retirada de Citroën fue un palo. La wrc 2? serán mas fiables, mas rápidos pero ese sonido atmosférico se echa de mucho de menos. Dichosa época hibrida... no me gustan nada! Pero vayan con lo que vayan... ahí estaremos siguiéndolo con la misma pasión

Si "un WRC auténtico" tiene que ser silencioso y usar tres diferenciales activos y ayudas electrónicas, dejando como consecuencia el tener que ser manejados de forma mucho menos agresiva y menos espectacular, entonces le agradezco al de arriba por los actuales Rally1 y por los "falsos" y maravillosos WRC de la era 2017-2021.

Was the subaru crash caused by black ice? Damn thing scares me the most on roads, and it gets worse on swirvy roads in the mountains.

I remember these cars from ps2 wrc game. Each had different handling.

The fans are suicidal and the drivers don't care if people get stuck under their wheels, they just want to finish the race... What a sport!
