Activision saw how important Crash was to fans, so to release a game for the franchise in a poor state would of be a disaster for them. Edit: I forgot to say this original, but when it came to Call of Duty, they release it despite on the state that it is at launch cause they at least have a chance to update it with patches.

Actually, this game was canceled at the same year Black Ops 1 was released. Aside from an unknown glitch on PC that randomly crashes the campaign in a specific mission, the game was nowhere near glitchy compared to later games and had better balance compared to World at War.

Hey, you try taking care of hundreds of clingy tiny bandicoots to keep them from being lab rats and have a smile on your face. Probably the reason why Crash seems so happy in later iterations is because he’s finally free of his babysitting gig 😂

Crash Landed actually sounds pretty good, it kind of reminds me of Croc in a way, instead of rescuing Gobbos, you're rescuing Bandicoots. The additional features, night & day and weather system sounds like it could've had an interesting impact on the gameplay. As much as I don't like deviating from the classic Crash formula, this actually sounds really intriguing. A shame it was cancelled, but as you mentioned it's quite possible that if it did well, we may never have seen the N-Sane Trilogy, and, consequently, the Reignited Trilogy.

So they planned a reboot. Wonder if, now that the series is alive again, they could consider to bring it back, story, gameplay, models or everything for the coming games. I hate when cancelled/cut content games are left rotten.

Looking back at the concepts for this game, Crash Land was aesthetically similar to the original concept of Rayman Raving Rabbids/Rayman 4.

I honestly wouldn't mind if they revisit this this game , cause from what I've seen it had a lot of potential.

"I am Crash Bandicoot" sounds like a dark edgy au where the world has gone bleak, Cortex has won and taken over the islands and Crash and the gang have to stop him. So pretty much Sonic SATAM

A Wii and a DS version? A McDonald's promotion with a McWumpa Burger? A spin off racing game? This was pretty ambitious...

According to Crash Mania website, there more Canceled Crash bandicoot to check out too, like Crush Bandicoot, Cortex Chaos, and Crash Clash racing.

Saving little bandicoots or any marsupial sounds cool. The abominations at slippery climb that perished in the fire were once little bush creatures. Edit: ignore the random old men from the remake.

I didn't like the fact that it let you see the faces of the things behind the bars. It makes it wayyy less scary. Which actually could have been what they were going for! I don't know.

I hate living on “what if” especially with canceled games. We don’t know if this game would be horrible or great cause we didn’t get the chance.

Honestly I would love it if Activison just would go ahead and make “Crash Landed”. It looks like a very interesting game and with all the advances in tech since then, it could be a really awesome and fun one. I especially like the very polygonal cartooney design almost akin to Breath of the Wild. I would love to see Crash Landed made into a fully functional Crash game in the future.

I heard about Crash Landed a couple of years ago. Very interesting story about the effort they put in to reignite the franchise. Would be neat if Nitro Fueled made a "what if" future grand prix that paid homage to Crash Landed/CTR 2010. The McWumpa Burger concept was similar to "The Boselli Burger" that was sold exclusively in the Jacksonville, Florida area as an NFL promotion in the late 90s. Boselli was a player for the Jacksonville Jaguars at the time.

Sure looks better than both of the "mutant" games. Wish they'd release this one instead.

I would actually like this to be the next game to come out, it seems like it would've been fun! It'd probably look great on the new-age consoles, and the idea would probably be a bit more popular now that the fandom is back on the rise.

THAT'S what it was called! I solely remembered this, as this is the main reason why Twinsanity is so broken and unfinished in the first place. But it seems they HAD to release twinsanity given even cortex states that "wrath of cortex didnt do as well they hoped"... and there would have been 2 dimensions to explore but they ran out of time. Which reflects the publishers and developers sign of desperation... Its also good to note that Crash Twinsanity has a concept art that some of it completely doesnt fit the game doesnt it?! Yeah.. i believe thats all from the "crash bandicoot revolution" leftovers.

@@deoxysandmew2162 From what I've heard; the game was going to be about helping other NPCs on other planets whilst travel in between worlds in space, similar to how Ratchet & Clank works but it was supposedly because of THAT game coming out that made them scrap that idea away. Of course this could also be false so don't take my word for it.

Goodo, I'm glad the facts in this are well detailed. I remember that period along with JumpButton and HPZr and how exciting the project felt from a fan perspective, but also how gut-punching it was when it was cancelled and we heard nothing from Crash for what felt like forever.

Ohmigosh that could've brought Crash back if they did that! That looks amazing and the idea itself is so intriguing

Man, i wish this was a thing... Gives me some Breath of the Wild vibes, especially those parts on 4:04 , and i can swear that there is a similar beach in BOTW like the one on 4:17 where you can find some broken guardian robots

One of the levels in crash 4 is called crash landed maybe a reference to this game by the time I am doing this comment is when crash 4 is out

I hope this idea comes up in Crash 4: It’s about time because of the whole multiverse thing.

Well I don't know about the game but this design is pretty cool and interesting... I wonder who was the art director of this project. It's really a great alterative to the classic old crash bandicoot style

It looks the game would be interesting, but, from the informations in this video, it looks like they would make the same error from Titans (in my opinion) and take off many of the icons of Crash with it, there is no Aku-Aku or Uka-Uka, no crates, no gems, there isn't Coco. I mean, apart from 3 characters, wumpas, the Wumpa Islands and the bandicoots, what's more of Crash in it? It think it would be better to just make a new IP then. Some elements of it would be welcome in a new Crash game though.

Crash Landed sounds awesome and I would definitely buy it if it got released.

I remember I kept looking at this cancelled game for a long time. I believe it was the first time I was interested in something that could have been. I love the ideas, animations and concept art. I hope we do see something like this for Crash Bandicoot in the future.

I remember hearing about this game a few years ago. I was disappointed when I learned about it because it seems like a good concept. I would have loved to have my hands on this game. The CTR tie-in to this game would have also have been cool to play.

Well now that you mention it, there was a cancelled Crash Twinsanity sequel. Great video though, I heard about Crash Landed but never thought there was footage & such for it. Screenshots I do remember seeing though.

Its interesting that the model isnt making a dorky face and more of a "serious" face, kinda changing his hole "nice and kind" character into more "ill kick your @$$ if you deserve it" character, but not changing his goofy actitude I would do anything to see more of this.

The music for the Crash Landed racing game was actually re-used for Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2

Canadian Guy Eh : Crash Bandicoot Evolution, the game that Twinsanity was going to be, would be absolutely perfect to cover after completing Twinsanity. There are SO many really interesting scrapped concepts, content, and artwork that didn't make it into the game because the devs ran out of time, including levels (Gone A Bit Coco, Lava Caves, Ocean Commotion, Rehab Lab, Security Insanity, Twin Tech Refinery, a Nina level where she climbs on the giant tree of the 2nd Island from Crash 1 as she is shot at by N.Gin's battleship), playable characters (Coco), storyboards, abilities (grappling hookshot), characters (Foofie, Capu Capu, Evil Coco), enemies (Gaudi ogres, Ant army), bosses (Goat King), npcs (Sherpa Tribesmen, turtle miners), concepts (Vice-Versa Reversa Device), and you were even going to travel to different planets (Gaudi, The Hanging City). Twinsanity itself even has a huge bucket of concept art and models that didn't make it into the game that can be viewed by collecting the hidden gems throughout the game (but could also be viewed via KZread, Crash Wiki, and Crash Mania). There is A LOT that can be digged out. I'd say Twinsanity is less than 10% of what Crash Bandicoot Evolution was going to be. Seeing a lot of the scattered information all together in one video for those who are unfamiliar with it would be absolutely amazing.

Sounds interesting. Reminds me a little bit of Rocket Raccons past from Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Like seeing real bandicoots. But like how Crash 4 did with the Flashback tape , it showed some fun facts about Crash and Coco's past. Taking some elements from future games would be great. Seeing what real bandicoot would be cool. Also a Crash game like Jak and Daxter 1 would be great
