Nice! :)
Been working as an IT for nearly 7 years.. Even though I have configured many complicated network setups throughout my career I've always had a doubt or ambiguous side when it comes to DNS...important thing is that you're explaining 'why you're doing this' when configuring which greatly helps to understand what's happening BTS... Please always explain why you're doing this as you did here in this video since most of the youtubers forget to do unfortunately.. Thank you mate for this great video and keep up the good work!!

I have a feeling both your channels are going to help me so much. I am hopefully starting a proper help desk job in the coming weeks, and AD, exchange, ms server were big in the job description. (my 1st job was focused on one epos software solution, so more focused on fixing it and general windows desktop issues, so i didnt really get to expand my troubleshooting experience beyond what was required to make sure the software was running on the tills) :)

I hope so. :) Sometimes you will come across issue that you've never dealt with, but you learn it once, take notes, and be worry free.

@@raghuraghu1521 No problem. I was “help desk” for 3 years at my uncles fiber optics construction company. The reason I quote is because the issues were never very complex. Never needed to understand AD or cmd or anything but I did a lot of break fix. I put that on my resume as well as the work I did at home to understand the things I was missing. I understand I’m no expert but doing that shows an employee initiative and a willingness to learn. On top of that I stated in my interview that I’m currently working towards getting my A+ which was huge. They said it was required for my position and I didn’t have it but because I’m working towards it and they liked that. Now they’ll reimburse me for my exam when I do take it. Cool huh? Salary depends on your location. I’m making $20/hr which is high for the city I’m in but somewhere like Houston you can easily hit 28$-35$/hr as Desktop Support. It’s very competitive in those areas though so idk if you can finesse not having a cert as easily. Hope this helps

@@raghuraghu1521sorry to be helpful this video gives you the skills to earn around 15$-25$ per hour depending on where you live. If you are in a tech hub you might be able to make 30$ an hour with this level of work but it’s unlikely in a smaller tier city

@@Cobuman , I downloaded RSAT: "Active DirectoryDomain Services and Leighweight Directory Services Tools" from Optional Features Tab on my WIndows 11 Pro. I want to add Active Directory to it now. I have Server Manager, but when I click on "Manage", "Add Roles and Features" the following pop-up error window appars: "Either there are no servers in the Server Manager server pool, or there are no servers that support remote installation or removal of roles and features. To add supported servers, use the Add Servers command on the Manage menu of the Server Manager console", What do I do wrong? WHat shall I do step by step? WOuld you be able t ohelp here, please?🙏
As someone trying to get into the IT industry, Im working on getting my A+ cert now, and your vids are fantastic for me to actually see real world applicatio of AD and all this on a windows sever, Im going to see if i can get a windows server VM setup and figure out how to network it with my linux vm and my main win os now to see if i can use it to get hands on learning on networking etc. Thank you for making these awesome vids!

Did you manage to do it
I recently applied for a job and during the interview I was asked to set up a DNS server with detailed information off the top of my head, on video, of which I never have IRL. Even though I was trained in school, I just couldn't do it without seeing the interface to jog my memory. The time I spent on this three part review was concise and understandable. I think I could pull it off now. In retrospect, I think the charge was a bit broad in the request. Seeing how it could be done like this or like that. Never mind which OS are we referring to.
This is truly a great channel
Most Excellent! I did a search for "Using Active Directory" to find you and I'm glad I did. Your English is excellent. Your pace is excellent. The topics covered were excellent. I used to say "Used" Active Directory, but after viewing your tutorial, I may have to change that to "Exposed to" because I wasn't using it to do HALF the tasks you've covered. Nicely done!
