The computers seem to work as a team, especially for Relic challenges. This is why this game is much more fun with the 2-player mode.

Dry Bones i remember playing this for several years and years until late 2014 For these challenges you always play with the mindset of they all are your enemies. And very single marble will goona end up targeting you so you have to finish them yourself instead of praying for one of them to hit the other cpu. And to secure the win you need to kill one of the dudes on your side’s first because the electric will act harder than the actual players in especially when it’s more than three marbles on the floor

@@omarmartinezolvera8405 when i was a kid i have 2 save files coop with 2 of my childhood friend after i completed single player 200% 1 is decent player after some struggle we manage to 200% the game. but the other is not so much and i have much harder time than i needs to be. The challenges that requires you to gather score is remarkably harder if your partner is not a decent player. I remember ring ding gem only needs you to get 30 balloons in 1 minute but in team challenge its give you both 60! while the number of balloons obviously not increased and you only can have 1 vacuum at one time, its basically 1 player needs to gather 50 balloons in 1 minute. i also remember n ballism gem where you both share goals and if your partner feeding balls like crazy you are pretty much doomed

I think that the most unique thing about this game is the bad ending Because in it UKA UKA wins and literally the entire universe is doomed because of it

This was great, i 100% would watch a series of your attempting this, the Rage compilation at the end would be an hour long

Lewis, dont give up! I completed this game when I was younger, and the warp room 5 levels are by far the best mini games of the game. The medieval mini games are absolutely dope! Btw, N. Ballism and the pogo game from warp room 4 crystals are the most difficult ones in my opinion. Anyway, I hope you continue this Crash Bash journey! Love your videos o/

Agreed. Pogo Padlock and Sky Balls were hard but N.Ballism is brutal. Done all gems, crystals and trophies plus most of the relics with the exception of the N.Ballism crystal.

@@calh213 N. Ballism crystal, and basically all the Fox levels platinum relics are what I was never able to complete, and one of the dash levels, I think the desert one

As someone who has unlocked all levels with Dingodile, I can give you some advices: In the game with balls, try using your push only when necessary, don't spam it every time one ball is coming at you otherwise you'll lose that power momentarely, try using it when several of them come at the same time; in the polar games, even if you can use the push twice with Rilla Roo don't spam it either, when N. Brio or Cortex use their push, they're vulnerable for a short time, try pushing them when that happens; in the pogo games, try using the rockets more often, be very aggressive and take advantage when they attack each other; in the games where you have to throw boxes, you should use your tail attack instead because both Rilla Roo and Dingodile have a very short throw; in the tanks, use your bombs more often but carefully; and in the race ones, try focusing only in making laps closer to the inner ring as possible. Sorry if this too long for you but this is my best advice that I can give you.

Dark Souls: "I'm the hardest game you've ever played" Crash Bash: "Sorry did you just say something?" And yeah I managed to beat the game fully as a kid, but completing it is an experience I'd rather not talk about.

I actually really love the idea of this being a series! A lot of us really loved Crash Bash back in the day, so it's refreshing to see our favorite Crash channel going through all the hardships we went through more than a decade ago!

6:50 if you slow down to x0.25 speed, you can actually see one of the balls go into gorilla-Roos area but gorilla Roos model somehow pops them back to the arena. Pretty lucky there mr wumpa

The hardest relic challenge?! Swamp Fox (Platinum) I was trying to finally 200% the game as Coco Bandicoot when i grew up a little older, cause as a kid... that was a feat that i never achieved back then. It took me SO many tries... its insane. But after a long struggle... i got my 200% I think Lewis... you should do a full 200% playthrough with a friend and make that a series. Some challenges may result in funny fails and most likely dialog especially when there will be an interaction between you two lol. PS. Additionally, this game sure have loads of gameshark codes that you can mess around the game with. Getting same strength or beyond as champions. Getting the 2nd player to be an A.I helping you out (works 80% of the time as its buggy) or creating your own masochistic challenges... What masochistic challenges i dare to speak of?! Well... one youtuber by the name "Floyd" (which is still remember him as "CTR Polar (Tiny Tiger)" ) He decided to do the elusive "Diamond Challenges" (Which in contrast i was calling them "Blue Crystal Challenges") Those... "diamond challenges" consisted of HARDER difficulty then Platinum Relic! YES! I SAID IT! and it aint a joke tho. Incidentally, did you know that CPU's difficulty level is pretty much NEVER maxed out in ANY minigame?! Yes even on platinum relics. Which with codes... you can put them at their ABSOLUTE MAX... (LEVEL 20) And... to top it all off... some changes can be made some more to make it even harder... such as in Drain Bash of his ultimate challenge... from what i remember... TNT'S would INSTANTLY KILL YOU! Also... its 3 against 1 like Relic challenges but in a simple trophy setting with a Crystal challenges background (Except for certain few they are buggy) Where im going with this?! Well.... Remember how OXIDE was hard when you had to fight him in a "crashball" duel?! Well... the A.I is at max (0020) but platinum relic crashbash A.I is nowhere near close to that... So imagine... 3 enemies... with difficulty of Oxide, teaming against you. And you have to win 3 times. (Not to mention, you really need a help of infinite kick charge code, otherwise its literally impossible... i only won ONCE.... ONCE WITHOUT the infinite kick charge code... when i first attempted it WITHOUT the code.)

as someone who grew up on this game, the adventure mode is a one-way ticket to snapping the nearest breakable object in half

A simple remake honestly wouldn't be enough, the game had a ton of flaws and a good number of the mini games kind of sucked. A re-imagining however would be best. Take what did work, scrap what didn't. Make a new game in the same style. But mixing in fresh ideas combined with the generally good parts of the original.

This is true but only for the bosses. Everything else it's completely random on each attempt whether or not you get slightly easier CPU's. Generally each round will have 2 reasonable CPU's and one that just goes batshit insane and ruins your life. If you can get the crazy one out of the game early it feels way easier.

Actually... it's only true for the Trophy challenges. If you activate the debug menu, you'll see that the difficulty modifiers for the AI in Gem, Crystal and both Relic challenges are rigid, while there is a separate 'loss' counter for the Trophy challenges.

Great to see Crash Bash, my hardest game ever, here! Good luck! Just some tips: The ball levels are probably the most balanced ones. N. Ballism however is probably the worst. Try to watch where N.Gin shots the first ball - the rest will go the same place - and if you position yourself right, you can just stay in one position and kick every ball he throws to your left or right. The polar bear levels: Cortex is an easy kill. Everytime he pushes, he loses all his power, becoming vulnerable. Dingo and Coco, on the other hand are only managable through items. Always look out for the ray! Ironically, Polar Panic is the hardest of them all - since it's simple, there is really the ray, your luck and your skill. No bombs or melting to use to your advantage. Also I heard from your video about Crash Bash that you had troubles with the crystal on Metal Fox, when mines are dropping on your head. There is a little secret: if you shoot the wall, your shot will automatically hit you. It'll make you invulnerable for a few seconds, and only take minimal damage. If you're surrounded by mines, just time it, take a shot to the wall and even if the mines expode, you won't die. This way the mines can even be a help. Sometimes you don't even have to fight the enemies. Just avoid the mines and the enemies will become overwhelmed soon. Also, just to prepare you a bit: if you unlock the third level on warp room 5, Mallet mash and get the cup, a new type of relics unlock (platinum ones) that are even tougher than gold and you have to beat a level 3 times in a row to get them...

That last challenge is ridiculous because the CPUs have point-blank reactions to getting those force fields. I hope to finish this game one day. I'm loving these videos...keep up the good work!

I'll be so amazed if you do the crystal challenge on The Pogo Level 4 Warp Room. It's the one where you can only score points by stealing from using a missile. I did it once, then overwrited the save slot. Most distraught I've ever been on a Game 😂😭😭

This is definitely one of the hardest, if not the hardest crystal in the whole game. I did manage to get it as a kid, but must have taken at least 50 attempts!

Hey Lewis! My strategy for doing the ball levels is to try to even out everyones scores. And from then on make sure one of the opponents on the sides gets destroyed first, then the one in front of you and in the end the other opponent at the side. As for the Pogo levels: try to get boxes as fast as possible (even more important than powerups). The less squares that are yellow, the less squares they can take away from you. And for the Polar levels: I hate them, but for that first polar level, make sure you try to remove as much icecaps as possible in the beginning of each round.

Ctr is a joke when it comes to the difficulty compared to bash, Ctr has quite low enemy skill cap, you can see the difference between normal opponents and time trial oxide ghost clearly, in bash it's not about skills that much but often luck in most of minigames

I found the original ctr really easy once you get the hang of the mechanics, like the beholder said, the CPU oppenents never get very good outside of time trials. In contrast the harder difficulties of the new ctr were in a whole different league! (which was objectively great but certainly stopped my campaign in its tracks)

I'll say this, the medieval ones are a blast to play (I absolute love the mushroom one and Keg Kaboom) but I can tell you now, you are going to despise Swamp Fox. It's even worse than the closed in ones for most characters, I won't say why exactly but yeah. I can tell you this, the bash levels for relics tend to be very easy. Even if the NPCs gang up on you, the open design and spinning will keep you from having a hard time for the most part.

I finished Crash bash with my brother like 10 years ago, it was thanks to a guide that recommended using characters with spin attacks like Crash and Dingodile ,the game is still hard to beat that way but you gain a lot of advantage in the levels in wich those attacks can be used

As horrid as it can be to do these challenges, I'd love more Crash Bash content from you Wumpa! One of my favorite Crash games and I was never able to complete these myself so its satisfying to see you do them lol

Crash Bash indeed the hardest game I've ever played to complete (200%) ngl! Trophy: Easy Gem: Normal (Hard in Balls and Polars) Crystal: Normal (Hard in later levels) Gold Relic: Hard Sapphire Relic: Very Hard Most difficult challenges imo are: 1. Co-op PAL Ring Ding Gem (you had to get 60 points instead of 40 in other versions), I never witness anyone able to beat it! 2. Swamp Fox Sapphire (I love tank levels but this one has ugh control and very hard to evade all of those weapons due to small arena) 3. N. Ballism Sapphire (The crystal isn't much of a problem compared to this), Ball levels are my least favorite in the game As for co-op, the minigames are changed in difficulty Balls: Harder gem, crystal, relic (both player had to evenly skilled and avoid any friendly fire balls, and it's not truly 1 vs 3 in singleplayer) Polar: Easier gem, crystal, relic Pogo: Easier gem, relic, Harder crystal (one of you fail, both fail. and the score is in total too) Bash: Easier gem, crystal, relic Tank: Easier gem, crystal, relic Dash: Easier gem, crystal, relic My favorite minigame type: Tanks > Bashes > Medievals > Pogos > Polars > Balls

This game is hair pulling hard, I started playing it weeks ago. Got to the first Dot Dash level, quit the game, went back weeks later wasn't in that level 30 seconds, turned the game off, don't want to pick it up ever again. It was fun up to Dot Dash. Now I hate it!

@DreamsOfSilver Yes but it severely affects how he is looked at in the algorithm, alongside the fact that his monetization is impacted tremendously by it. This is why some of his videos have no ads at all, it also impacts his reach and discoverability on youtube when it comes to nonsubscribers. Now this could just be a passion project of his and he is not concerned about the revenue, but he is shooting himself in the foot if his goal is to make money off of this platform / making extra money on the side. To say he still makes money off of these videos pales in comparison to what he could be making by being more ad friendly. I also understand the argument of self censorship ruining a creators project, but when it comes to Lewis this would only change him from swearing egregiously and at any opportunity to do so, to raging in another way. Doing this would not result in the entire loss of the character that he portrays. In a previous video he had posted recently where he censored out his swearing, there were multiple ads run throughout the video, this isnt a coincidence.

The most fun part is that if you get 21 gold relics, you will unlock platinum relic challenges which require you to do the exact same thing as gold relics but THREE TIMES. This game is insane.

Ah yes. The game that goes from "I'm having fun" in the first 3 warp rooms or so. The instantly just makes you want to throw your controller at the screen within just a few minutes. Seriously some of the crystal and relic challenges the game throws at you is just BS. I salute anyone who manages to 100% this game. The difficulty spike in the 3rd warp room and onwards is just frustrating as heck at times.

i completed the 200 percent and also played 2 players version with my brother and completed. A lot of nerves with this game though. It is genuinly hard game unlike Jak 2. Im just mentioning it because it is only game i am mad at.

I have completed it, and N. Gin was a pain. I found out, that the best Way to deal with him, was to not use your blast while he is shooting, just try and block them to your left or right

I love this video dude, it's nice to see that other people also struggle with this shitty unfair challenges. Here are some things I did in order to win some relics/cristals: In the Crashball i only focus on protecting my side, thats the only thing i have in mind, not even the power ups, nothing, just protect and survive, they will all loose by themselves eventually. In Pogo, i only focus on stealing all the boxes, it doesn't matter if i have only 3 squares covered. In the Polar Bears game, i stand in the edge until someone comes for me, i avoid them and kick them out. But it's really noticeable how weak you are, and how strong the computers are, when you kick them it tickles them, but when they kick YOU, they send you to the moon, so I also try to catch the Thunder. In the Race Game, just pray. And in the Tanks game, the computers clearly cooperate with eachother, they absolutily ignore the rest of the enemies, they will only shoot to you, so brace yourself. But at least that one it's fun, for 10 min. For me it feels like this game wasn't even tested or something idk. KEEP IT UPPPPP

Never seen someone use Roo (or Dingo) for the adventure because he really sucks just at everything. Mad respect for you.

Here's a tip mate: When you play the ball minigame, Hold either L1 or R1 to move faster, Useful when you want to hit an approaching ball form the other side you are in

I was actually able to get all of the relics as a kid. Haven’t tried to do it again as an adult but I’m still having nightmares from having to do all of them. So, I’m probably not even going to try them again.

Also, Crash Bash has an insane amount of "ARTIFICIAL DIFFICULTY". What i mean?! Simply put, most of the time, the CPUS in this game are brain dead... or so easily exploitable... so what they did?! Beef them up with enormous strength. (Polar Push and Tank Wars comes to mind) Which is cheap... and really not fun at all. Also a fun fact: There is EASY, MEDIUM and HARD difficulties right?! Well.... i guess you can consider the Relic Challenges..... a VERY HARD difficulty... which i was unlockable, cause the Crashball on Very Hard IS FUN! :D

I used to play this game a lot when I was little. Even then I remember thinking it was a hard game. I think I unlocked 2/5 levels at the end. The levels that prevented me from unlocking the rest were the Crash Dash (that race minigame) and the Pogo ones if I remember well. The final Ballistix level (Sky Balls) took me forever, but I eventually managed to finish it. The last tank minigame was also complete BS. I think I never finished that one either.

Hope you will do more Crash Bash vids, I loved this game, it was far from perfect, and as you said, very difficult, I still enjoyed it a lot. A tip for the ball games: You can hold the trigger or shoulder buttons to move faster. I think it was any trigger or shoulder button, I think I used R2/R1. Not srue, maybe you had to press a combination, but I think holding either of the rear buttons and moving sideways will make you faster. (Not sure if you used it or not) Also, I personally preferred Tiny/Kong for the game, but I guess it comes down to preference. In the box throwing races he can throw furthest I think, alongside Cortex/Brio, in tank games his projectile doesn't travel too long so you aren't stuck without being able to fire for long but I think it travels relatively fast and does good damage. On polar levels, his charge uses 3/4 bar, which makes his push way stronger than those who do half bar ones, while still not having to wait for too long like with Cortex/Brio. But again, it comes down to preferrence.

Using Rilla Roo instead of Tiny or Kong makes this 10x harder

Me and my dad used to play this in co-op when I was young and we had a PS1, this game was insanely hard at the end when you wanted to get every relic...

After playing as kids, me and my cousin are just the platinum relics away from 200%ing for the first time. Playing co op is way more fun but solo is a lot easier in some challenges! Still can't believe we're having such a hard time against the AI, they're actually insane with some of the plays they do lmao

Bruh, the AI on Polar Panic is maliciously making sure you lose on purpose. LMAO

hey Lewis, I feel like if you found someone to co-op the story with you would find out exactly why a lot of us enjoyed this game when we were younger. The experience is totally different and much more enjoyable, even though some of the stages are still really difficult. Highly recommend to try it out if you can.

I've completed this game with my dad at least 7 times (not kidding) lol But yeah, it's such a hard game, specially the Relic Challenges; also you just picked what I consider the hardest Crystal Challenge in the game in the N.Ballism level (as hard as the Platinum Relic Challenges can get honestly).

Those polar bear levels were my fav 💙💙💙💙

The medieval mini games is worth it. Especially Dragon Drop. Jungle Fox and Pogo Padlock are the hardest crystals, and the AI trolls on Polar relics.

Hey man, a few tips: - I personally think that the Tiny/Koala Kong class is the overall superiror class: In the Crate levels they throw super long and I believe they have higher damage. In the Polar game they push way harder than the other classes (def the best class here) and in the Tank game I believe they have much higher damage as well, even though Dingodile/Rilla Roo can have double bullets out at the same time. In the barrel/mushroom levels they also have longer range. It was so much easier for me to get all the relics with Tiny. - If you play co-op campaign it is also easier, assuming you are both decent at the game. Don't know if this is an option for you. I believe there's software for online multiplayer so you wont have to be together physically. Both these tips also require a complete restart of course. - If your'e playing emulator, you can download a save file that has everything unlocked. This takes out the challenge of course, but is an option if you want to just try the levels. (Guess I wouldn't recommend cause I enjoy watching you struggeling with the levels. Lol)

Just imagine this game being remastered for next gen consoles and everyone starts raging to unlock everything

They need to add more characters in the game, other than the 8 we already have. Tawna, N.gin, pinstripe, etc.

I used to try to fully complete all crash games when I was younger, I got grounded because I started screaming at one of the gem challenges. I think it was the one where you play pinball in the air and there’s red balls that kill you immediately, you also start with like 6 less points than the rest. The game gets pretty unfair sometimes.

When I have a son later in life, I'm going to make him play the Crash Bash campaign relic and crystal challenges on hard to punish him just so he can be called a failure hundreds of times over.

I want to see Lewis and Wolfy duke it out in Crash Bash one day

Ha ha! You tackled one of the hardest crystals in the game (N. Ballism), you're doing good, with some extra practice and luck on your side, you can manage it. Relics on the other hand are a tough cookie. I've never been able to get the relic of Swamp fox as a kid .......and an adult x_x. so I'll forever have to deal with 199% Focus on the Pogo ones since they're the easiest. The first polar level is hard to beat but they get really easy from warp room 2 onwards

I remember I proudly had my Memory card with Crash Bash at 101%... it was pain. but really worth it, me and my brother loved the Medieval mini games
